Why do moderators move threads to this section, then lock the threads?

There doesn't seem to be any point to moving a thread to this section from another IF the participants cannot continue, or new participants cannot join. Locking the threads just because you move them doesn't make any sense. Please explain.

Mods lock and move threads randomly as they see fit. In case you hadn't noticed, threads and comments that are deemed to "not serve any constructive purpose" or whatever, are locked and censored. I have never in the entirety of my life on the internet seen a forum as heavily censored and controlled by moderators as these, and I've spend thousands of hours on the internet for over fifteen years.
Well, except for paranoid conspiracy forums where they censor all opposing opinions.

But then again, I've never frequented forums for nine year olds, or whatever group they are targetting with this game.

    Frakking laughable.

Are you sure you aren't talking about threads that have been moved from here and therefore locked here in favour of ongoing discussion on the more appropriate forum they've been moved to?

Yeah most people seem to always forget that people make too many of the exact same post talking about the exact same thing. That clutter the forums hence why mods get rid of new threads because there already five more other threads talking about the same thing already or move threads to the appropriate section because this topic should not be in this section. What the point of a having mods if they do not do their job.

When you see a thread like: "Moved: Title of thread" it's because we have moved that thread to a forum we feel the thread fits better. For example, if the thread is about technical trouble on the PC, we'd move it to the PC technical support forum. Clicking the link for the thread will take you to it's new location which you can see at the top of the page.

    I hope this helps! :)

That's a good question. The ones which are "Moved:" and locked seem appropriate for the General Discussion section, and others of similar content are posted here and remain. Just about anything I can think of could be appropriate for General Discussion. Although, there might be a better section for the post with regard to whether the OP would be more likely to receive comments or answers to their questions.
