Just wondering what a good CP amount would be to start doing vet pledges, regular vet dungeons and then Trials?

160, so that you don't feel bad about getting a monster helm you wanted in the perfect weight / trait that you'll outlevel soon.

As for the rest, avoid DLC dungeons (Imperial City, Mazzatun & Cradle) until you've completed the other dungeons in vet.

Normal trials are quite similar to vet dungeons in terms of difficulty.

cp10 and start saving your keys, shouldn't take long to hit 160 anyway you can grind it out in under a day.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm CP 162, I just didn't want to go into a vet and screw everyone over.

What Humatiel said is pretty accurate. Although i've seen some guilds where they won't take people into vet trials if they're under 500 CP

IF you are going to do DLC vet dungeons at cp 300 I strongly recommend looking at some guides to allocate your CP to the best output to your class/role. It will help alot

I don't think it is as much about CP as it is about having a good build, learning the mechanics and having a good team that COMMUNICATES. A bad player can still have a lot of CP but that alone does not make them good at their role. The only drawback of running them sub 160 is if you get the helm, as has been stated already.

A group of decent CP100 players with good builds who COMMUNICATE and work together can achieve what a group of CP400 players with crap builds, who don't talk or work together, can have trouble with. Although the vet dungeons can be completed using group finder, the harder ones are still best run with people you know, so that you know each others skills and abilities and can COMMUNICATE.

I apologize for my yelling of COMMUNICATE, but hardly anyone using group finder these days on PS4 is in group chat so the more difficult dungeons become very hard when someone does not know the mechanics but is not in group chat. Currently joining a group does not automatically put you in group chat, so I presume it is a bug which I suspect most people are not aware of.

Yeah, I have been using a guide for everything. Especially my DK Tank.

For the base game vet dungeons, cp 160 is fine. If you have the appropriate leveled gear, improve your armor to purple and your weapons to gold. That's typically enough for your gear to be reasonable and not hold you back in your performance too much.

Don't allocate your cp all over the place. Put cp it in cost reduction and damage increase for your primary attack type (mag/stam) and use purple or blue food to increase your resource pools (and damage). At that point it is just practice.

I started vet trials at v1 back when vet ranks were a thing. They were certainly tough, and I wasn't particularly good, but I had reasonable gear, so I could perform reasonably well.

Do them with your friends or guildies when ever you can and as soon as you can since they scale to your level. Yes you might get useless boss helm but learning fights, mechanics and getting better at your own class is beneficial. Always be in group chat when with a random group because most players are willing to help with advice, builds, gear and dps rotations. I've been there since PC and now I'm Xbox so we all started somewhere and don't let Elitist get you down since they forgot where they came from.
