✭✭✭You can generally tell if something will be immune by the amount of bling around its nameplate.
If there's a gold cartouche thing around its name with lots of bars coming off of it, it's a boss.2 -

You get immune message when you target an enemy with a spell which the enemy is immune to. But you do not target the negate at an enemy, you target it on the ground. Thus, no immune message.2 -

You get immune message when you target an enemy with a spell which the enemy is immune to. But you do not target the negate at an enemy, you target it on the ground. Thus, no immune message.
