Best class for maelstrom beginner?

I've never done maelstrom before but I wana give it a shot. What would be the best class for a beginner.

Mag sorc

Mag sorc or Magicka Nb.

Sorc - Overload
Nb - it's sustain, self heals while DPSing and damage.

Both can be done with crafted gear if you have no monster sets.
If you have monster sets (Kena, Nirienth Etc) use them.

- 5 body julianos
- 3 piece Willpower jewellery - All Spell Damage Enchants
- Head, Shoulders and Staffs Torugs Pact (3 piece gives Health)
- Reccomend Inferno staff with Spell damage Enchant, Resto with Crushing enchant or return magicka. Swords - don't bother enchanting.

Destro, Resto for Nb when starting out.

Destro and dual wield swords (overload bar) for Sorc.

- Use thief Mundus.
- Regular Magicka trash pots when learning it.
- Nb sustain - Use Siphoning Attacks, Resto Heavy attack when you have time on weak mob
- Sorc sustain - Overload gives magicka, Endless Fury gives 4k, also dark conversion (I use on overload bar).
- Destruction Staff passives also give magicka when getting a kill with a light/heavy attack or staff move.

USE SIGILS especially the DEFENSIVE SIGIL.

Stam Sorc but you don't have an option for it. Seriously don't listen to anyone saying Magicka Sorc or NB they are a few patches behind, Stam Sorcs have better self healing than a Magicka NB and much better DPS than both.
I have told this to a few guild mates that were stuck on low rounds on both those magicka builds and after rolling stam Sorc they all finished it on their first attempt and now have the arena on farm

Stam Sorc is solid but if he's a Vma noob which he is, I'm going to assume he'll have sustain issues with no VO.

Plus he has to get Vigor - easy I know but not for some people.

It's 1) doable without vigour on a stamsorc and 2) would actually need vigour for all the other stam builds he did list.
You don't need VO, can either swap it out for marksman for extra regen or 3 agility + kena/ bloodspawn etc and use dark deal/ the odd heavy attack

A decent craftable/ cheapish setup would be:
5 hundings/ Night mother's gaze + 5 marksman + 2 leki's daggers ( one sharpened one precise ) + Any Sharpened bow
On the daggers one increase weapon/ spell damage glyph, one poison glyph, crusher enchant on bow
Thief mundus, get 18k health as much stam as possible.
Redguard makes resource managing easier,
Vigour is a nice oh crap heal, but you can live without it if using bloodcraze, Bloodthirst ( instead of rapid strikes and rending) and crit surge and throw a few cp in blessed and the healing received cp star.

My bars:
DW:
Hurrucane, bound Armaments, Rearming Trap, Rapid strikes, rending slashes, Flawless DawnBreaker
Bow:
Vigour, bound armaments, crit surge, poison injection, endless hail. Overload
Overload bar:
Elude, bound armaments, dark deal, rune prison, caltrops.

If no vigour move hurricane to back bar and put evil hunter on front bar for extra crit without having to use potions.

Don't be afraid to use sigils your first few times through.
2nd stage, if you have trouble avoiding blades grab healing sigil.
5th, 6th & 7th stage, the defensive sigil is awesome to reflect the ranged adds while you deal with the melee
8th stage, the healing one can be useful on the flame knight round/ boss
9th Ash titan, again the defensive sigil makes this much easier.
9th final boss, go pokemon on the sigils, gotta catch em all lol

@SameMeteor26 You have 2x stam dk option and no stam sorc option. And stam sorc is one of the best choices so I advice to change the vote options.

Mag nb

i dint do vet maelstrom on a dk yet but so far the magicka nb was by far easiest to do for me, sorc is a good second. I had most fun on templar because i never used that class for dps before. I think its a bit personal which to learn it on though, might be any class as long as youre comfortable with playing it

Voted magplar since it´s the only class I´ve completed vmsa with, but this guy/girl is right. But in my experience you can get comfortable with a lot of classes.

Temp. You can literally just put shield on and jab your way to the last boss. Even crem guards can't kill you whilst you jab them to death.

Stam sorc is super easy but what most people don't say is that it takes much more knowledge/awareness to play a melee setup than a ranged one. If you're knew I'd 100% say mag nb and just cheese through it.

Honestly it's all play style preference but i know for certain dk's in general get punished the most specially the mag dk.

Stamina NBs have vMA hardest along with Magicka DKs.
