    Why would you put trees around keeps? You're giving the enemy cover at best, and a way into your fortress at worst.

    No keep in history or ingame would ever have trees round it, trees are deliberately cleared around a keep for numerous common sense reasons.

    Some reasons being, all trees are cleared around a fortress for numerous reasons, such as making access to building battering rams, or trebs or w/e harder.

    Easy to ambush or spy upon said fortress.

    Common sense strategic principles

    Even my 64 year old mother with no real experience of strategy would know better.
    Once I was a lamb, playing in a green field. Then the wolves came. Now I am an eagle and I fly in a different universe.

    About the outposts. Are Outposts considered keeps. If so why are trees surround them? Would enemy's us this to advantage also?

    It also prevents siege placement and blocks your view while on a siege weapon.
