It doesn't matter whether you have standard campaigns or 'gimmicky' campaigns people always want to pack into the busiest campaign. The trouble is people getting lots of lag and disconnects that need quieter campaigns. Hopefully the planned battlefields will address that.

Until then I think the resource only campaigns were a good idea. They want to spread people out so having the campaign objectives something that people can take solo should allow people to run in small groups all over the map and still make a difference, it becomes guerilla warfare. Unfortunately most people playing the game like safety in numbers so we get large groups in the standard campaigns and no interest in the small group oriented campaigns.
