Why is it that other game companies like: Blizzard, EA, Rockstar, Bandai, Namco, etc. can perform hot-fixes on consoles that fix numerous serious things — and yet ZOS can't/won't?
Case and point would be the Minor Aegis/Minor Slayer situation. Now supposedly there is an "incremental patch" coming that fixes this serious bug, coming within the next few weeks (which range from 2-5+ weeks). And yet, a company like Blizzard and R* can push a fix for something like this literally in a day.
Now you may be saying, "Well Champ, there's a process to getting things fixed. And verifications and certificates have to get done. Plus other things." Well yes, but not exactly. I remember on Diablo 3:RoS (UEE) for XB1 and PS4, there were a set of bracers that dropped called "Mortick's Brace". Which were a pair of bracers that were far too overpowered, and somehow still made it to live after a patch gone live that wasn't supposed to include them. Literally 6-12hrs. after the patch when live, Blizzard was able to stop the bracers from dropping from all sources in the game that gave loot. And completely rearrange the lootables. All in that time frame. And there was no need to download another patch either. Say what? How come ZOS can't do something similar, but easier??? I'm not buying this whole certification thing. I'm sorry. But no.
Want another example? On GTA:Online, R* was able to patch dozens of things and also somehow put out a huge ban wave all within the time span of maybe 6 hrs. after a previous patch had gone live that allowed things it shouldn't have. And I think we all know just how huge of a world the GTA:Online world is. Let alone how big of a player base it has. And you mean to tell me that ZOS couldn't fix Minor Slayer and Minor Aegis for us on console in a time efficient manner...? WTF? Lol.
