anyone else wish you could find nirn other places besides Craglorn? took me a year to find 1 piece!! that's crazy! too many people farming it for profit ( I get it) but those of us capable of crafting with nirn, can't even get it! they need to add additional areas to find it....just a thought!!

Well they are increasing the drop rate in Update 12. Nirncrux should always be a Craglorn specific item though as it's part of the story there.

If you keep woodworking,clothing and blacksmithing on 9/10 you get surveys for Craglorn from the writs reguraly,
on most of those surveys i got 1-2 nirncrux,not always tho,but its surely is lucrative.

A year? I find one every other day on average just in the nodes from the crafting surveys. If I take a 10-15 minutes tour of Craglorn I find at least one. The drop rate is probably ~1% for a given node. It only drops from ore, wood and fiber nodes, sometimes from animals that drop leather scraps (welvas, pigs, dune ripper). It does not drop from alchemy or rune nodes.
