The New Veteran Dungeons (SPOILER ALERT)

The bosses are all the same essentially, as they are all old mechanics. Their health ranges from 840k for mini-bosses to 1.9 million on main bosses (I'm speaking only for the Veteran versions of the current Normal Dungeons, such as "Spindleclutch I" shown below). The final bosses have 4 million health, until you read the Scroll of Glorious Battle. Since we two-manned it until that point (no mechanics were new), we could not finish it.

Of course, if your armor breaks from too many wipes, you have this to get you back to your group quickly after repairing:

On a final note, Normal Dungeons now have a difficulty around the same level of current base-game Veteran Dungeons, with some bosses gaining more health (for example, the mini-boss before Nerien'eth in Crypt of Hearts II - known currently as Veteran Crypt of Hearts - has 740k health in Normal Mode now).

And for those who are wondering how to choose which Spindleclutch to walk into, Spindleclutch I has the Whisperer, Spindleclutch II has Vorenor Winterbourne. Right now, I think the wayshrines are bugged, and only some list both wayshrines. Here's Elden Hollow's map icon, as that one is working for me:

Oh, this is interesting. This is how you pick which version you want to go into when you walk to the entrance:

Have you tried out Craglorn yet?

I was testing a bunch of the new armor sets on the PTS and went to Craglorn with a template character fully kitted out.

I found the overworld mobs to be hilariously weak. The dungeon trash mobs were hilariously weak - on a stam sorc I could kill them with character-centered AoEs and buffs without using a single active skill nor even blocking. The bosses were actually capable of killing me when not careful enough. The damage was surprisingly spikey, almost as though the bosses penetration was higher against a character in all medium armor.

Even more problematic was that on a Redguard 300 CP character the resource management was absolutely horrendous and although certainly something one could potentially adapt to it worries me what it would be like during content that's actually difficult.

I guess I'll have to wander into a pledge alone and check it out.

Yeah, I tried out Craglorn. The only things that are difficult are the Group Events, like anomalies and such. Everything else seems to be soloable.

As for Resource Management, my Redguard Stam Sorc rarely has issues, though she is CP561.

I have tried out almost everything so far on the PTS.

The "New" "Vet" Dungeons were a disappointment. THOUGH there is still time to go and give them a buff and add some new mechanics too them.

There are a lot of new sets in which 4 or so are "Decent" and the others are Meh.

The craglorn resurrection project worked very well in my opinion. I am glad to see it spring to life again.

As for one tamriel. It works great. Other than seeing reds everywhere it is alright.

I am so disappointed . I really was hoping Zos would give us some true 4 man vet dungeons . The simple fact you could duo these is a frigging joke. I don't care if your pro vmol player. I'm disgusted that for is taking the game in this direction he has completely sold the mmo genre out to a corporate churn player base. And based on the polls it's not even what the community that is active in the game and in forums wants. So don't give me it's what the player base wants. It's what's easier for zos to develop and balance

They're not really new dungeons, just buffed up old dungeons. The mechanics did not change. I'm sure the Part 2 Dungeons are harder in Veteran mode. I've yet to test them.

Was hoping for a Killing part two on Vault of Madness in order to add one difficult dongeon Inside the game since that one had really good mecanics when you use to see them :)

Given I'm the guy who has to pug this crap, I'm very glad when they DID update these it's not that bad. Honestly we still had to pay attention to the mechanics. I didn't see them adding new mechanics to allll these friggin dungeons and they didn't need too.

Also very pleased there is now a seperate undaunted quest giver for the DLC dungeons. That means people who wanna do vet ICP and WGT and ROM and COS can do them day after day without screwing the rest of us for gold key rotation. (Gold keys wont exist anymore but you get what I mean.)

Also love the portal. That's one of the best editions, not gonna lie.

Not only that, it's more accessable which has been the name of the game for this update.

Lets set aside the forums for a moment, because we all know the ammount of people on forum is so small as to be a microcosm of the playerbase. What did you want them to do? Litterallly reinvent these dungeons? Wasn't gonna happen. Reguardless of whether or not it was the -issue-, it wasn't going to happen. But I dont think it was the issue. The issue was the old dungeons were not designed for the current scaling, and they needed to fix that. But anything else was going to take too long for the current timeframe. Dont forget. Conventions, minimal manpower, all that jazz.

At the end of the day if you want the true challenge, the new quest giver for the undaunted, Chief bane, is there. WGT, ICP, COS, ROM, is likely going to get a boost from this update, I dont see a single person who's done -those- with this update. (I suspect they'll be signifigantly harder.) And I hope they do, I hope the place for the reallly hard content, is well defined and given it's own attention.

So at the end of the day if you got disappointed it was because your expectations were too high. Sorry. I know I'm satisfied as the guy who has to pug this crap, so. You can call it churn, lowest common denominator, whatever. That dont change the fact I still see so few people looking in zone or group finder for ICP and WGT when it comes up as the gold pledge.

I pug all the time Ive pugged many clears in all the toughest 4 mans. Was i expectiong a full revamp ? no, but i was expecting the dungeons to require 4 people working together in assigned roles. Did i want all 16 to be Mazz or Vcos no, Vwgt and ICP are currently the same lvl as the base dungeons now so its good to know at least 4 have been re tuned. the only issue is there is the Sets associated with last four have already been obtained by a large portion of the population. As for my expectations i wanted them to at least make an MMO . when any of the last four come up it seems to me you cant do your Vet random because there is always groups looking for players . Ive yet to complete my Vet ran due to the CP issue being all over the place so yes making completion on the group finder with those last four can be tricky. But truthfully they should not be comletepable like that in all honesty. just my opinion

I hope they also fix the spelling on that scroll. There's a few errors in there.
