My guess is that a lot of people are installing the PTS for the first time, myself included. One Tamriel is far more critical to the game than any previous update and a lot of players who don't normally bother about updates before they go live are going to want to check it out.

Cue the first "OMG the game is about to be closed, there's no-one in the game" topics

Everyone in my TS is downloading at the same rate (~120KB/s) so it seems throttled somehow.

I've been downloading for half an hour and am still on 0%

! I guess I'll do better first thing in the morning UK time. I generally reckon to do my downloads then, it's always faster.

Well I am lucky its downloading at 1.24 or 1 mb. I am glad it means I am getting closer to being done with the patching.

It's really odd.

Some people are getting ~120KB/s, a select few are getting ~1-4MB/s and there's no real pattern.

. I have a 25MB/s connection (200Mbps+) yet get a slow download.

yea, I have 350 DL wired. But its applying the patch now at 100MB/s so soon I wills ee the truth! yayyyyy

yeah patchs can be slow to download but lucky this one is not that large. I would say this one is possibly smaller then theives guild or dark brotherhood maybe. Basically they are not adding in new areas just editing existing areas and removing coding and adding coding. So hopefully it will not take as long for those having slow download speeds.

I love the new atronach mounts, it is not something I will buy for my character as doesn't fit his roleplay. I can see how it fits the lore though. Just one question, how do you saddle that thing safely?
