No. It's not a cleanse/purge. It's a damage dealing move, that you can morph into: "Inevitable Detonation" and "Proximity Detonation" (the morph I'm interested in).

Inevitable Detonation is pretty good for burst combos in PVP, and I suppose nuking zergs with a Sorcerer and Velocious Curse in tandem with the standard moves. Proximity Detonation instead puts the explosive magicka around you, basically letting you be the "zerg buster" when paired with the vicious death set amongst other things. But, is mainly sought after sometimes for PVE magicka builds (which I was searching for it for). As it works pretty nicely with a magicka Templar.

Trust me, I know that feeling of dread knowing that you're going to have to PVP when you truly don't want to. Believe me, I know all about it. But, it's required to obtain some very useful skills in the game (e.g. Caltrops, Magicka Detonation, Vigor, War Horn, etc.). But, it's something that just has to get done. The sooner you get it done it out of the way, the faster you can return to not having to deal with bs deaths and getting ganked. Also, thanks.

If it makes you feel any better, once you've obtained the skills required for all the characters you needed from PVP...? You can look at all of the threads about the horrible things occurring in PVP, and all the horrible things this and that, and just smile. And just hope that your favorite class doesn't get nerfed due to imbalances it causes in a PVP environment.

I wish we could sell you guys the AP you need to unlock those skills. I don't really want to run any of that PVE content with the ridiculous DPS requirements, so I get you not wanting to PVP.

Crazy how I'm the complete opposite of you. I dread any form of pve content. To me it's just not fun. Especially getting stalves continuosly on vma. At least when you guys have to come into the pvp world you're not subjected to extreme levels of rng. So while you can get in, achieve your goal and bounce I have to keep farming a solo pve arena to get bis for pvp. To be honest I don't farm it anymore, I can't bring myself to play it makes me hate eso. Lol.

Who really gets the short end of the stick?
