What do you mean by possible? Detonation is an assault tree skill, its not CP based. Once you have earnt the AP to unlock it its just a skill like another other.

Or are you asking in viability?

I believe he is asking if a bomb build is possible in non - cp campaigns..... you know.... is the damage good enough with out all the extra champion points.

I believe it could work only because non cp doesn't have all those extra resistances that the cp tree gives you so my answer is yes it will work.

At the same time, you won't have all the extra damage that the CP trees give you.

If you execute correctly / perfectly, the build is still viable. In practice, you probably won't have as much success as your damage will be lower - so you'll have to be ready with an execute in case you don't get the kill chaining with VD.

It will probably come down to your opponents - how they're geared and built / their reaction times.

but no it wont work, running a bomb build will mean you dont have any reg or cost reduction, running arround with 600reg and 30k magicka when the spells cost arround 4-6k. GL

Damage from CP is negated by Resistances from CP almost one to one.

But your regen is NOT. It is just basically impossible to do anything with the low recovery you will have. It is just not feasible on a regular basis. You would have to crouch everywhere and not spend a single portion of magicka, on anything but the actual bomb Maneuvre. So it would be 100% gank.

I tried it. Had to swap out Alchemist for Lich to make it playable in any kind of nongank situation.

But IF you are willing to make the sacrifice, it should actually work very well.
