How long did it take you?

I am wondering how long it has taken most players to get the monster shoulders that they are looking for in the ideal weight and trait.
I am on PS4 and have been playing the game since PS4 release (Give or take a month). I have 5 max level characters and only 1 of them have the shoulders I really want.
I understand that RNG is a big part of ESO but just wondering if I have REALLY BAD RNG or it just the way it is?
BTW i run at least 1 gold key a day. Some days I will run as many 5.

Should I be holding onto my keys until they remove they remove the STUPID training and prosperous traits from the chest? (Because that's the only traits I seem to get)

probably at least 50 gold keys(before they added 4 more traits), til I started getting the sets I wanted. if youre waiting for one specific set and trait, expect to be at it awhile....
not ideal, but multiple toons = multiple gold keys a day

Well I don´t have a divines Nerienth shoulder yet.
Also I dropped my first divines Kena helmet yesterday after playing that dungeon since release.
RNGesus is not on my side for monster sets.

helms are quicker, with loot share, and the fact you can get multiple drops in a day

I feel what your saying! I too am looking for the Nerienth shoulders.
I had a feeling it was going to be the case.
But that damn training and prosperous make me soooo MAD!!!!!

A pure RNG system actually accounts for the problem you're experiencing. As I noted in my masterpost about RNG systems, there is a strong possibility that some people will simply never get the weight/trait combo or weapon/trait combo they're looking for, even if they've run literally hundreds of dungeons. The more you know!

I've been here since PC launch and the only set I have perfect is my light Nerienth set. Every other set I'm stuck with at least one piece of prosperous or training, or with a poorly matching trait like sturdy kena.

I stopped worrying about the Traits on Shoulder Drops a long time ago. The difference between Divines and not on one piece is fraction of a Percent Critical Chance when all is said and done, or an equally proportionally small difference in stats for other Mundus Stones. Sure, Prosperous just sucks, that should make anyone mad who gets that, but so what if the Trait is not perfect. The over all effect of the Monster Shoulder or Monster set so outweighs the extremely small difference in Stats that Divines makes on one or two pieces that is meaningless in the over all scheme of things.

I don't even know what the traits are on my Molag Kena's. Heck, I have one that is at CP130 Medium on my Sorcerer. She is still a wrecking machine and she won't be all that much better if it was CP160 and Divines.

To that end, I got my first Molag Kena the first time I did a Vet Dungeon after those sets became available, the second one about 10 Vet Dungeons later. First time I did the dungeon that drops Engine Guardian, I got the Helm. Still don't have the Shoulders for it. I have a few other Shoulders and Helms, but not sure what they are, I just stick them on a Mule.

My shoulders dropped the very first time I gave that vendor in Cyro my 200k AP.

I believe it took me about 175 gold keys, and 175 silver keys for me to get light-divines Skoria shoulders.

Got a ton of other divines shoulders during that time though.

I have been blessed with luck in this game, and always seem to find what I want quickly. A friend of mine though, has never found a complete monster set in good traits, ever

I got Infused Molag Kena helm on my first (and only, so far) vWGT run... and was told RNGesus loved me. Well... that makes up for all the fishing fails then. 300+ bait for the last rare fish in Cyrodiil.

Hoping RNGesus loves me enough to drop Medium Divines Vicious Ophidian in only a few runs...

, I got a ton of helmets in perfect traits, but only 1 shoulder.

I got my helm the first try, don't know how many keys I have used to try for the shoulders. I think I have sturdy shoulders right now. I always hope the next one is the one...

If I need several different Shoulders, it takes a bit. Once I start getting them and need less and less, it takes forever...

Hmmmmmm, I still don't have any Kena shoulders in divines, neither light, medium nor heavy. So I would say 1 year and counting?

Many many keys later. I run 4 maxed characters and save keys on all of them until I have a fair amount, not sure if that increases the chances but worth it for the type you want.
