10 min cooldown on yokeda set makes it almost useless!!

10 mins is too much, its not something you can rely on at all or put into consideration in you build.

Even with a short cooldwon mostly the tank goes down last so resserecting him won't change much.

I really have no idea why they decided to make it 10 mins its not even close to being OP.

3-5 mins would have been fine, even less would still have not made it that strong.

well it has an intersting concept that is just destroyed by the cooldown and I would like it to be more useful, whats wrong with that?

Also its counter parts VO and IA are really good, so why make the tanking one's 5 piece so useless?

Okay, I'll give that to you.

I think that the idea behind the set was not to make a crutch, but to make a safety net in case of failure.

Typically, in games, self-ressurection mechanics have long cooldowns to prevent them from being a crutch. Of course, those games are usually PVP based.

From here, I would guess that the heavy cooldown is to prevent abuse in PVP. How would you like it if that ganker waiting outside Aleswell just reemerged from death every few minutes? Of course he could hide for more time to refresh cooldown...but I think you see the point.

I will give it to you that the tanks are really durable, so it's hard for them to die. And in 4-man content, if the tank dies, often times, it's from the healer (where the Yokeda proc would help recover), and in trials, where the tank is in a much more dangerous position, there's often a second tank to step in (which will prevent a group wipe, and with the tank being such a priority, the Yokeda set won't help too much)

I will agree that the 10 minute cooldown is a bit overkill for PVE, mainly because boss fights generally won't last more than 5 minutes, so a 5 minute cooldown still works out to 1 proc/save per fight.

I would guess that the heavy cooldown is mostly to prevent abuse in PVP.

I too have questioned this. As you say the counterpart sets are awesome. This one could do to be brought to their level IMO.
I would like to use it but as you said it's just not that great atm.

I heard if you unequip one piece then reequip it it resets the timer., but have never tested it and it would still only give you one failsafe per boss

Tanks don't die. And really there are much much better tanking/support sets out there. *cough* Tava's, Alkosh, etc. *cough*

You are correct. Yokeda is a terrible set, unless you suck and plan on dying I guess.

they could "solve" the PvP issue by making it only proc if you are killed by NPC or when not in PvP zones and then reduce the cooldown to 5 mins

just imagine if you could wear that set plus the Phoenix set (just a pity there is no jewellery for Phoenix) what fun that would be

Well if you die in trials as a tank it means that someone in your group seriously f***ed up (maybe you, maybe someone else, doesnt matter).
I wouldnt wear a set that is made with f***ups in mind, I'd rather use something that buffs my group. ^^

I agree I run 5 pieces of both sets SOTH. I sometimes will run the 4 piece Yuk (see what i did there) Witha 5 piece mephala. I am not doing much more then all Vet dungeons on farm and all Ntrials , just started doing VNSO . Will likely have to switch to the Tava Meta to run stuff with a real Vet trial guild. Truthfully I can cap my 50% with just spiked armor in the hist sets and honestly dont even need to run my monster sets , they are trufully Crap. Resources are no where near the issue they were when i played at year ago. Eternal Yok is just lame.
