Changing my race. Any advice before I do?

I have my main as a kajiit, And he is a magic templar lol.

With him I have nearly ever achivement, have healed all dungeons and trials and consider myself a great healer.

I plan to change my race as I've been handicapped from the start by having stamina and health recovery on a magic Templar.

I was debating between Breton and high elf and decided to go high elf. I realize Breton reduces 3% of cost but I would much rather have the dps bonus (even if not using it much)

I've had trouble with maelstrom, but have beat it on vet. This race change is mainly to help me with maelstrom And also magic regen and magic amount for healing.

Any advice or thoughts? I'm going to pull the trigger tonight so any help is appreciated.

Not planning too much pvp with this guy but if I do I would be a healer there as well, not damage.

Thanks!

    Not what OP asked!

@OP you already took in everything that needs to be considered. I do prefer Breton for my healer but High elf is probably the better choice. All good, go for it!

As a healer you going to be targeted anyways so make that toon maybe as small as possible. Why I prefer a Breton but I only PvP. ;)

Just a bit more. I recently switched to Argonian for my Templar healer. I'm very happy with it. +5% healing done/healing received is very nice. But I have also thought bout going to High Elf, myself. Argonians get +3% max magicka, but High Elf's get +9%. And that +6% is big difference. Not to mention the magicka regen high elfs get.

If you are going to be strictly heals, Argonian is a good choice. But if you wanna do some dps, too, probably High elf is the way to go.

There's a lot more to do than just grinding to 50. You have to get all the sky shards again. You have level guild skills again, Mage, Fighter, Undaunted, etc. For some people, they have more money than time.

I still like the Bretons, reduced cost, when cost went up, small regen but - spell resist makes stuff ups a little more forgiving of errors. But I am a fan of the Bretons. Sometimes it's not about being able to give a hit but all about taking one.
PS4 EU 1200+ cp - I enjoy RP, Housing, PVE and PVP
