ZOS & Imperial City One Year Anniversary RANT

    They are limited, though.

You could have bought them the first go around, or you can get them in the bundle next week!

Also, "dedicated" doesn't necessarily mean long-time player... you could have just been in the right place at the right time. Hell, someone who paid for the sub back when it was sub-to-play but forgot about the game entirely (as I sometimes go a month without using Netflix at all and still pay for it, I imagine this is entirely possible) would have an ice wraith pet they didn't show "dedication" for, at all.

There's so many reasons why someone could have not gotten it the first time around. Simply not having the game, being out of the country for the week, having been in a car accident... The fact of the matter is, by reintroducing these limited items, it both makes consumers who missed it on the first go-around happy, now that we have more of a precedent that ZOS doesn't intend on abandoning them forever, and it makes ZOS happy, because there are plenty of people who leap at a "limited time" offer because what if they want it nine months from now?

In the end, it's a digital commodity. It's not like 500 people buy the skin and the engine is like "nope, we're at max capacity, pack it up boys". It's a limited-time offer, not a limited-time offer.

Like Recremen said, it's like pumpkin spice everything (which, can someone explain to me the appeal? I find the stuff gross.), or peppermint everything during the winter, or heart-shaped everything during February. They're only available at certain times but it's not like they burn the recipe after, or like a production run where they run it once and throw the mould in a landfill or something.

So your entire rant is that you can't be a special snowflake since items are returning to the cash shop?

The only things that should never be sold are the loyalty rewards as they were never cash shop items to begin with. Every other item, and I do mean every other item, can return on a permanent basis for all it matters. There was never a reason to remove them in the first place (except now we actually know there was a reason).

This is NOT an issue. This is NOT something to rant about. Nobody cares that you can't be a special snowflake. In my opinion ZOS should forget the whole gambling box thing and permanently return every single item they removed from the cash shop.

tl:dr OP'S upset because limited time items are no longer limited...

    Special snowflake status.... GONE!

Well you see I prefer that ZOS doesn't lie to its consumers, that's all.

Failing at reading comprehension does not mean someone lied to you.

Interesting how you must resort to personal attacks at this point, when I have directed no hate towards you. Anyways, I am not speaking of McDonalds or whatever irrelevant comparisons are being made, but I am speaking of our trust in ZOS. You see, limited, in its general use, refers to something being restricted, and by that definition you may find that these items would be limited in number. It is -not- limited in number if it is slapped back into the store for all to buy.

I was not attempting a personal attack, just stating the facts. You are still not reading the actual words ZOS used. "Limited time." Not "limited number" or "one time only." For the vast majority of the time that the crown store has been open the mind shriven stuff was not in there, so ZOS did not lie or even misdirect. They have done exactly what they said they would.

I'm still rockin' the clouded senche that I bought whenever the game was still new-ish on console. It's a nice feeling to ride around in a unique mount amongst all the wolves/camels/bears, but I couldn't say I'd care if it was made available again for everyone. Or maybe it already has been made available again many times (I took a 6 month break from the game) and people just think its ugly.

This is what the OP needs to understand.

@MythicEmperor , I'm just chiming in here because I feel that this needs to be reiterated and hopefully doesn't get lost in this thread.

As said before (and this is what ZOS said initially regarding Limited Time Offers), Limited time items doesn't mean it will not come back - actually they did mention that there's a potential Limited Time Offers most likely will come back in the future. What you are probably talking about are Exclusive Items, which mind shriven skin and horse isn't.
