Can we get a no-cross faction campaign?

I can understand ZOS wanting to allow people to play with their friends, but there are a number of PvP guild that just crap all over the idea of playing for your "side" by playing whichever faction/campaign they want to for whatever reason.

What I'd like to play in is a 30 day campaign that you cannot get into AT ALL (ie, no group queue, nothing) if you have any character from another faction homed or guested in any campaign. The idea is that while playing in this campaign you cannot PvP for any other faction, anywhere. Not just a restriction on homing or guesting in that campaign, but you cannot put into it at all. Similar to bring over L50 and trying to get into BWB

I think that the 150k campaign change cost would be enough to keep people from hopping in and out.

Does anyone else think this would be a worthwhile campaign ruleset?

I recently discussed the same subject with my guild.
It is ridiculous that players can switch Alliance in the midst of a campaign.
Lots of guilds just keep switching side to simply cap the entire map for one Alliance and next moment turn the map for another Alliance.

I also vote for an Alliance lock on the campaigns. So you cannot switch sides in the midst of a campaign.

Interesting but no, sounds like this would get very stale very fast.

    Why would it get stale?

If campaign became one-sided, you could not go anywhere else. If campaign was slow, you could not go anywhere else. You would end up fighting the same people every day. It would completely restrict you and remove a ton of freedom.

The population would be tiny, imbalanced, and inexperienced.

I think the population would be a lot bigger than you would think, and if you get tired of it there is another campaign for you to go to.

As an old DAoC player, I was absolutely disgusted you could make another character in another alliance. Then to salt the wound you can roll another faction member into your current campaign?! This completely destroys any faction identity, and now that one tam is coming out what is the point of having factions to begin with? To help the plot? I have a strong feelings the devs of this game have no clue what they are doing.

If it where up to me, You would log in the game, Choose your faction, make your character and fight the war. Want to switch factions? Ok cool, but that will cost crowns, Or you need to do a very long time consuming mission that will let you ( and all your characters) defect to the other side. Then that mission gets a cool down of 30 days.

You shouldnt even be able to PM the enemy factions.

Um thing is this idea was already in the game before :/ Before we had only 2 PvP servers back when we had alot you could not have a alt or toon on a campaign if another alt or toon of a different faction was on it.

To clarify, here is an example:

I'm playing in the no-crossrealming campaign as AD. I can play in any other campaign as AD and actually group-queue into any other campaign as DC or EP (because I don't think ZOS can actually make a good bug free check for that). But as soon as I home or guest another character from EP or DC into any campaign, I'd lose the ability to enter the no-crossrealming campaign.

Will it totally eliminate crossrealming? No, but it would cut it down a lot for at least one campaign.

Also consider that with the upcoming One Tamriel, the lines between alliances are going to become even more blurred

Salty EP n DC players in BWB are welcomed to come over and join the AD legion. Barrier to change faction will prolong their pain in getting smashed over and over again

You can forget about ZOS making any kind of attempts at bringing back some of the real AvAvA we were promised. Cyrodiil is a free for all where factions have no meaning, better just get used to it.

The only meaning factions have now is on a RP level. And we have only the players to blame, really (not Zos).

allowing same campaign cross factions wasnt a huge deal because of the amount of playerbase lost. Im EP ps4 and have no intention of rolling another faction. But others can and do and troll the hell out of each other.

Not so much lately, but having a random following a raid and giving away positions or faction traitor scroll runners was a big deal 6 months ago. happend then even before zos changed the rules, its going to happen now just much easier.
