Usually from my experience these have best guild traders in the game. Top guilders are usually in the same place, the trader in the middle of no where usually r only selling XP potions for lowbies, u might find a few gems. People that complain about guild traders just dont understand.
What we need is guild trader topic, a site or app, so guildies can update where they in the world every week. Easy to find guild traders, where is WalMart or craiglist on Xbox for example.

@wayfarerx have an awesome!! In fact have seven!!! I think from now on we cut and paste that on every new thread about it
Repeating a lie ad nauseam so that it becomes a truth. Good job.AH is not wanted by those that know ESO amd have put some time into it as the market will be owned and manipulated by the guilds with billions saved.
Fully agree with OP the present system of trading is pure garbage and pretty much makes it impossible for much of the player base to trade normally. Worst system I have ever seen.
But yeah being unable to trade without problems is down to pure laziness, couldn't possibly be because of the worst, laziest, badly developed trading system ever devised in a game.
Centralized auction house is desperately needed but that for that to happen you would need competent coders and developers or it would be just like the group finder. Wont ever happen now unfortunately.

Everything you're mentioning relates to laziness from people and ultimately their lack of will to trade actively. They don't want to trade, they want to get rid of their excess stuff... that's entirely different.

sorry. there is absolutely no need for a centralized auction house. also, i fail to see how the present trading system is garbage.

I'm fairly sure that in SWG you could at least search the entire list of traders. Then once you found out where the store was you actually still had to go to the physical location.
The system we have sucks for any new leveling characters. There really is no point in searching as your access to other guild traders is severely limited

Awesome Guild Store is your friend...
For a time maybe but eventually with more ppl selling the lower the price will get .. take 10 items in there at 50k the big players buy them up and put them at 100k some one is always going to undercut them there will come a point where these big players will just undercut themselves how long can they sustain buying everything just to sell high they may have millons or even hundreds of millions but there comes a point where they will start to lose or make no profit thus ending that idea!! .. another thing is i want to make money so i need a guild with a trader i had one but we lost the trader after a week.. i would like to be ables to sell my junk everyday day in day out but having to bid on them is a stupid idea making the guilds with more money bidding and winning the traders while poorer guild get screwed.. serioulsy can you say theres enough guild traders for every guild on the ps4 server etc!! yes you can get good deals now and then for sure but its only catering to rich guilds that can keep affording to throw big gold at traders how many poorer guilds can selll there stuff .. it should be a market board/AH yes it will be crazy at first but once again it will put everyone on the same lvl and that scares rich trading guilds!! cause they will get a flood of items hitting the market undercutting them and they will start to lose profit!!xilfxlegion wrote: »snakester320 wrote: »think your a little miss informed there the so called top guild traders in areas are ususally 2-4 times higher cost than most places .. because of sheer volume of traffic and they know it take reapers march new guild moves in and there prices a low for like a week once they start to hang onto the spot there prices increase and keep doing so its market control ... make a central auction house then the prices will be crazy high at the start but they will lower as more ppl undercut others but it will stop market control and put EVERYONE on a even playing field!! i brought 2 rings from a guild trader in the middle of nowhere for a 3rd of the cost that what was poping up in these best areas.. fact is i had to hunt around you know what not a biggy but its still shows that the high volume areas such as reapers are the worse and guild traders try to control the market because of volume of that area one big AH or market board would stop that !! even seen 2 guild traders that are like the sister guilds etc try to control the area..Having guild trader, lets us build the eso economy. except for the part where the people with all of the gold would simply buy all of the cheap stuff and relist it at their inflated prices. auction houses are entirely too easy to manipulate. the current system works fine
ps4 n/a and i wont name the place or guild because i have no issue with what they do ( i dont agree with having the control now beacuse of the area but offer no ill will towards them) but when they first got the trader there stuff was cheap now 3 weeks later its the same price as the other traders around them if not more because they have the volume of players there and other guilds that have won traders in the area later on have followed suit.. yesterday i brought a dreug slayer jewlery set 2 rings and a necklace for 40k thats a really awesome buy and they were all remote one trader areas .. bit of a pain doing the leg work but yeah happy as can be.. take elden root and other 4-6 trader high volume areas 30-60k for 1 ring so 90% of the time there more expensive than that one off area that A. they dont know the current price OR B. they know that they dont get the volume and they still want to sell!!AntMan100673 wrote: »snakester320 wrote: »think your a little miss informed there the so called top guild traders in areas are ususally 2-4 times higher cost than most places .. because of sheer volume of traffic and they know it take reapers march new guild moves in and there prices a low for like a week once they start to hang onto the spot there prices increase and keep doing so its market control ... make a central auction house then the prices will be crazy high at the start but they will lower as more ppl undercut others but it will stop market control and put EVERYONE on a even playing field!! i brought 2 rings from a guild trader in the middle of nowhere for a 3rd of the cost that what was poping up in these best areas.. fact is i had to hunt around you know what not a biggy but its still shows that the high volume areas such as reapers are the worse and guild traders try to control the market because of volume of that area one big AH or market board would stop that !! even seen 2 guild traders that are like the sister guilds etc try to control the area..Having guild trader, lets us build the eso economy. I don't know what platform and server you play on but traders in the main spots being 2-4 times more expensive than most places simply isn't true on xbox EU. As the other traders cost less there's the potential for prices on the other traders to be lower but for most items they're actually more expensive which means they get lower sales because they have lower footfall AND because their prices are too high. You can get good deals on the other traders more often than in the main trade cities however they're not that common. I regularly check 5/6 trade areas, I'll pick 2 of the main cities and the rest will be out of the way (either less popular cities with a few traders or single traders in the middle of nowhere), the vast majority of the time the out of the way traders are either overpriced, selling garbage or both. If I'm looking for something specific I'll check a main trade city as I know I'll usually find more than 1 for sale and I'll get an idea of price, its then my choice whether I pay that or spend time hunting around to get it cheaper

If Traders are good, why do they exclude the majority of players from selling to the community!
I'm yet to have anyone counter the argument that as there is only a finite number of traders, thus only set quantity of players (approx 70k) can sell to the community. This game is a case of have's and have nots, so whilst a minority of this 70K players can make a lucrative living by selling, the majority of the community are frozen out of selling completely.
I don't expect you to reply, just like every other person who is doing ok with the current system also fail to reply. But to say Traders are Good is simply not the case, at best they were a sticky plaster over the complete mess at launch, where at best you had only 2.5k people to sell too.....
@Nestor maybe you could ask ZOS to explain this? I'm not asking for an auction house as I don't believe its possible with how they set up the game, but the guild traders are not inclusive, there have been many suggestions over time to improve the way they work so they are more inclusive, but it seems ZOS as always has buried its head or just doesn't simply read any posts.
the bit i put the bold on is just plain untrue..... anyone can offer for sale anything (that isn't bound). whether they find a buyer or not is another matter.

It's actually quite true! If you aren't a part of a guild, you cant sell on a store, and the only option then, is to vendor your items for pennies.

The main reason people want an Auction House is they do not want to spend the time looking for either Rare items or Bargains. Rare items should be rare, and should take time to find, whether your farming for them, or using your gold to buy them. Bargains, well, that's on the player. If you want to save some money, spend the time to look for the lowest price.
I think most of the calls for an Auction House would go away if ZOS would implement something like the Addon Awesome Guild Store does.

Where is this true.
First, Zos clearly intended for us to be snow to join guilds easily. We can join 5.
Second, zone chat is always full of WTS & WTB. That is where the statement quoted is full.
