Extreme reduction in crafting writ turn in.

Oh come on now ZOS, what is the reason for such a large reduction in the xp given when turning in a writ ?

Did someone exploit and cause a problem, I don't see how but I don't exploit, ever.

I also realize there is no real penalty for breaking any rule, based on the so called banning of exploiters only to have them all back within days.

So please explain, if possible why ?

If anything they should of been increased now that we have to use all 150 mats.

I have not looked at the Exp from Writs closely lately. But it does not seem reduced at all, at least on my low level mules doing writs, they get the same Exp as before.

But, one thing to check, exp rewards are scaled to the character. So, if your doing one on a low level alt, your going to get less exp than on a high level, even at the same tier of writs.

My bet is writs will get serious overhaul in 12. The current zone-tied-to-mat-level pick up and turn in contradicts the way OneT will do things.

Meanwhile, frankly, i went from 11 writs a day to occasionslly an enchanting after all the probs after 11. Might get bach to it, for consumables after a bit.

I never thought too much about the XP on the writs. My confusion is why in the heck do we get inspiration on the top tier writs? There is no real benefit to inspiration if you are already at level 50.

Hey, I took an Alt from L6 to L7 just doing writs. Only took about 100 of them to do it.

So, no one does Writs for Experience.

Before Vet ranks were removed, I took my crafter from V1 - V2 just by doing writs. Let that sink in for a sec. It took like 8 months. haha

Thx guys. It's obvious how the writ XP can be abused to grind CP fated than intended.

Every night, before I log off, I use Wykkyd Outfitter to load my "Leveling" skill set on all of my "incomplete" Toons.

The following day I do all Writs and then Turn In / Retrieve the new Pledges.

The skills, most of which is never get around to using / leveling, get loads of XP this way until they are all 50.

Once a toon has all of their skills fully leveled I delete the Wykkyd Outfitter "Leveling" profile and cross that toon off of my rotation of planned turn-in.

    ...FWIW.

Yes, I was being a little cynical I suppose. But I did actually see a toon get a vet level In about 8 months. Haha.

Writs have never been about experience. They have been about gold mats, materials and steady gold. They are absolutely still worth doing since they fixed surveys, but they cost/benefit ratio did take a small nerf in the last patch.

For anybody that says they aren't worth doing, I have at least 100 of every gold mat and I have 8 toons in gold gear, many with multiple sets. I have never bought a gold mat other than some occasional wax when it's really cheap. I also bring in north of 15k a day and it takes me 25 minutes. Once you factor in surveys, you get more mats then you spend. I have stopped doing anything else to make gold and i am closing in on 8 figures.

If done consistently, writs give you everything you need other than gear to play this game: Gold, Materiels, soul gems, repair kits, recipes, and ingredients for cooking and Alchemy.

I am still getting 19K in this update. I was getting 19k in then last update for all writs turned in at once.

I think the biggest issue is the lack of survey's. I sometimes go 3 days without seeing one survey. On the days I get them I normally get one or two. On a very rare occasion I will get three. This could just be an RNG issue but it makes me loose material on every writ most of the time.

surveys has been nerfed to the ground, anyone else telling you something other than that is simply misleading you.
i have done hundreds of surveys before and i know what to get when i turn them in.
today i have done surveys on 5 characters. the turn out is much lower that it used to be. i have seen absolutely 0 yellow upgrade materials.
and much much lower survey maps. used to get 1-2 on each character, now on 1-2 characters i get 1 if im lucky.
if you dont believe me, go open a guild store tab.
the price is only increasing and its not due to demand, its to lower and lower supply, even if there was an exploit. today we have people with 0 upgrade materials in their bank while others with thousands in their craft bag for no use but to keep the prices high.
