Lotery boxes (aka Crown Crates) are a pretty weird idea a better idea for ZOS - Update 12

I was thinking about the Crown Crates coming with update 12

The idea of buying something that I do not know what is inside of the box and just gamble like "maybe there will be something good for me" and waste my 400 crown on it pretty much sucks.
I will for sure not parcicipate in that.
Better idea would be to do a re-introduce of these "limited time" items maybe for 1 or 2 days every month (or maybe even for 1 or 2 days every quarter) back to the crown store, as some "special events". Then people would not buy "something in the box", but would buy items, that they wanted, but missed the limited time offer and I bet ZOS would make much more money, than on this Crown Crates gamble.

No way. Loot boxes make a lot of money for games. Microtransaction is good enough to sustain free to play games and there is no reason for a buy to play game to miss this golden opportunity in cashing in this sweet system.2 -
