Imperial City - I can't get any more quests - Am I missing something?

So.. I arrived at the IC through the sewers as directed by one of my quests, and talked to General Nesh-Tan for the Pact, who told me something like "go kill Daedra". but also mentioned something about the Drake of Blades, who then whispered something to me.

The quest then popped up on screen to go talk to her... So I did, and went through literally all her dialogue options (I always do this regardless of quests anyway), but now I have nothing Imperial-City related in my quest book!

I have run around everywhere in the Pact sewers and talked to every NPC, and have searched online and all I can find are references to daily quests which are given by the Drake of Blades...

Is there no story at all for the Imperial City? No more quests? Or do I just run around and mindlessly kill stuff to collect those stupid points?

Am I missing anything here or is this the *entire* expansion in a nutshell (go run around and kill crap)?

*** Also I forgot to add that I cannot even get any of the daily quests people are talking about either, there is literally nothing left at all in my quest book regarding the Imperial City.

You need to use each of the ladders near the bank. They will lead to each district where you will find a quest nearby. Once you have completed each district quest, the (main) quest will continue. The daily quests are also found this way once you have completed the main quest line.

OK, you know that in the quest dialogue when you talk to the Drake (immediately after talking to the general) she explicitly tells you that you need to go to the six districts of the city, and she explicitly tells you to go up the ladders from the sewer base to do that right? And you know that there's a scouting board showing the quest giver arrow that gives you missions to go up those same ladders to plant flags right? And that once you follow the mission from the scouting board, as soon as you go up the ladder it tells you to go up there's a quest giver at the top who gives you the quest for that district right? It kind of holds your hand through it all...

3 - She doesn't "explicitly" tell me everything. And I didn't get any quests or any arrows or dailies or anything, perhaps because of a bug. ESO is a very buggy game and not everything always works as intended.

Clearly your intention in coming to this forum wasn't to help me, right? Since you know that I already "explicitly" got the help I needed, right? Which you would know if you read this thread which explicitly shows me thanking the person that already helped me, right?

When I saw your post I took an alt who hadn't done any of the IC quests into the sewers to check to see if the quest dialogue had changed since the last time I did it, because I remembered her explicitly telling you about the districts and the ladders to get to them. Guess what? They didn't change the dialogue, and she tells you exactly what I said she tells you. In other words, she tells you exactly where to go. I've got another alt who hasn't done any of IC yet, so I can grab screenshots of the quest dialogue telling you that, and of the scouting board that gives you the quests to go up the ladders.

My intention coming here was to show you the many ways the game itself tells you how to progress through the story. Knowing that it's all there, maybe next time you'll pay attention to those types of things and not find yourself in a similar situation again, where you have no idea how to progress. Give a man a way to find a quest, and he quests for a day. Teach a man how to find the quests and he quests for life.

You're still not paying attention, apparently.

I read literally everything in the quests, and yes she talks about the districts, the ladders, etc etc, but if you read everything in the OP and follow-up you'd know that I was talking about my quest journal. It was empty.

I didn't want to just run up into the city without any purpose other than killing random stuff. I wanted to make sure this wasn't a bug, and that the quest would progress.

Before coming to the forums, I used the ladders and nothing happened. At all. No quest, no quest-givers, nothing. Perhaps it was a bug, because the second time I went up the ladders she appeared and things progressed.

I read everything, pay attention to what I am doing, precisely because I don't want to miss anything like this (i.e. important quests). But when the game's quest system gives me absolutely nothing to go on at all, and the info I find on the internet doesn't accord with what is happening to me in-game, then yes I come to the forums to ask for help.

Then there is usually at least one snarky S.O.B. like you who has to do his best to make me feel stupid for daring to ask my question. You have failed.
