Realistically they don't have to tell you anything. No matter what they say or do, its still a company that relies on making a profit. So honestly that dont have to tell you ***, and u can cry, whine, threat to quit and complain. Though at the end of the day, remember you chose to play this. They didnt force u, so if they end up putting in the same we dont like. We have two choices- deal with it or don't.

You will never ever see Cortana, as much as i would love a sexy AI voice in my head the whole time im in tamriel, i just dont think that its realistic.

In this industry - nothing should be taken at face value. What they say is not legally binding and can/will change if the circumstances demand for it. So complaining about it is absolutely pointless. While I agree there should be a pressure from the community - that will often fall on deaf ears if extra money is to be made.

I personally don't give a skeevers area about crown store, loot boxes and whatnot - that is fluff, that is stuff for the whales, it has no impact on the game whatsoever and I couldn't give more craps about it. What concerns and bothers me is the actual state of the game from a technical standpoint - the countless performance and latency/server issues and optimization, working skills and items - you know, the actual CORE of the game that is required for enjoyable and smooth gameplay in the first place.
When that is fixed and settled, then and only then I will start bothering about something as silly as crown store fluff, cosmetics, mounts and DLC's.
Both people and devs need to prioritize and see the bigger picture of what is important and what is optional, but as long as whales exist - devs won't bother about much else because why should they? People are more bothered about black cats and fancy hats rather than if and when the game will finally be fixed.
