Since upgrading to windows 10 I haven't been able to get shadowplay working. As is the way of things, as soon as it's not working alot of cool things happen that I would have liked to keep. Instead these are some leftovers I put together from Dark Brotherhood patch, taken in a mix of haderus and azuras (no cp). Please be gentle forum warriors, khajiit has delicate ears.

LOL that ending was golden. Also 10/10 for 1vXing Lucian. I'm tired of that nightcapping trashcan.

I enjoyed this, thank you for posting. Good to see another mageblade main sticking it out! By the way, I've been running Transmutation for a while now too, and I love it! It makes mageblade durable against op stam burst while still being able to wear light armor. Great set.

Curious why you build such low max magicka and stam and use Harness and Path instead of Siphon Attacks and Rapid Regen, but that is build preference I suppose.

I am very conscious of my low resource pools, and being something other then khajiit would certainly help a bit in that department. After spending a while working on the bomb build I was tired of living off of resto heavy attacks and pots. I craved for my old build with pre nerf arch mage that didnt need siphoning attacks for resources. So for this setup I favored regens over most other things. The sharpened changes gave it just enough burst to enjoy using for open field encounters.

I still use harness magicka today because I'm too lazy to go to grahtwood and respec.

Path fits nicely with the theme of magnb: the blood of my enemies sustains me. Even though its heal and dmg are relatively small, one cast gets both ticking. I can begin to regain offensive control while laying out my defenses. Apart from stopping to shield through enemy burst, I am always simultaneously hurting my opponent and defending myself. Siphoning and rapid regen, although both great skills, waste time where I am not doing anything to hinder whoever is beating on me. Most fights I feel are lost when I lose control of the tempo.

Finally when cloak was broken I would lay paths and sprint to escape/avoid people without having to worry about keeping up cripple with all the dodge chance around.

And yeah, even with low resource pools, your high sustain allows you to maintain pressure on your enemies at all times.

Yup makes sense. Path is a wonderful ability for the speed. I have used it since I gave up on cloak back in the winter, but I often use Rapid Regen with it. The heals are real! As for your comments on tempo, I personally find mageblade's lingering damage applies enough pressure for me to keep buffs like Merciless and Siphoning up. I do love the control that mageblade exercises over fights.

Your build is extremely difficult to take down with that high regen. Glad to see something unique walking around.

Edit: Path should totally give its Major Expedition buff to allies. I have never understood why that would be so op... Or maybe Minor Expedition. Something. lol

I almost feel like that would only help the group get more spread apart. Path for allies is hard to see if your not used to it/looking for it, and difficult to get everyone with it in the best of situations. I like it for quickly spreading transmutation among a crowd though. I think just one more small round of buffing base damage/heals and the skill will be in a real sweet spot.

Haha, I'm always thinking about slotting it back on, but meteor/fear/assassins will has such great kill potential. And building a nb house with veil is always fun. People, or rather stamina burst builds, usually won't respect the veil and stand in the centre wondering why they aren't doing damage. When they start getting overloaded with all the DoTs they either die or waste most of their stamina doing back to back dodge rolls hoping to recover some hp. This is where radiant oppresion resto heavy attacks shine

Loved the vid, and love the playstyle!! The way you play around your enemies is awesome. Refreshing path is so incredibly underrated IMO, along with swallow soul it just makes magblades so much more about 'out-sustaining' than the more common 'burst'. Which is why I see the higher recovery more valuable, you need to be able to keep fighting no matter what, if you can't fight you can't survive!!

One question, if you had to drop one spell for Impale, what would it be?

Oh, and the angle of the camera in that sewer fight clip! Bravo! Looked cool as....!!!

Its a tough one, if I ran a similar setup on a magic race with more magicka, and went to remorph harness, I'd probably drop healing ward. At the moment it (healing ward) only becomes a better shield around 30-40% hp and is (ideally) only used as a quick top off to get out of execute range or as a buffer as I swap bars back to harness.

Currently I do not like running impale as most people you fight will be stamina who will roll dodge and vigor when they get low, usually buying enough time in dodge to just get back above execute range. Impale was really good at countering things like healing ward because the damage could usually overwhelm the shield and keep them on low health until you can fear them again. However there are alot less magic builds around now, and assassins will hits as hard as an execute anyway without being bound to the condition that the enemy is on low hp. Just make that one shot count!

Nice Vid! Interesting idea with the Transmutation set. I will give it a try before I will transmutate (lol) to a stamNB. Never tried a sustain build before but the magBurst never satisfied me. I doubt you are a vampir, are you?

@WildWilbur I am not a vampire. Mist form is nice, as are the passives, however it isn't really needed for this setup. Comes down to personal preference really
