Silks of the Sun Testing in PVP

Able to acquire a legit 5 piece and do some testing with a guildie (shout out Quin thanks again for your help and patience).
I am not a numbers guy just wanted to do some "hey let me see how much damage my attacks due in pvp with this gear, especially whip.

Nice testing! I'd love to be able to run SotS with akaviri dragon guard armor, but SotS jewlery is expensive. I've only seen one jewlery piece for sale in guild traders and they were price gouging. 750k or something stupid like that.

Old reliable willpower/torugs will have to do me until the price of SotS drops. Hopefully it will be like elegance last patch and start high but drop quickly as people realize that only one spec can run it.

Yeah the jewelry was a pain but the sword was the biggest pain to get. Cheapest I got one of the rings was 85k. Hopefully they go down in price soon quickly.

If more people run HRC that will help flood the market with items and drop the price.

What is this Dragon guard armor? Sounds interesting.

Akaviri Dragonguard. Reduced ultimate cost by 15% I think. Magicka recovery, healing taken, and max health. I use it on lowbies. Also comes in CP sets.

@DUTCH_REAPER They just upped it to cp160. I'm using it as replacement tavas--I hated trying to manage shuffle with blocking, rolling, and CC.

Since the patch dropped on console I've been testing bloodspawn, potentates, dragon guard, and willpower rings. Having ~150 cost meteors is really fun, but the spell damage is really low. It was fun bombing a zerg with shooting star immediately followed up by a dawnbreaker of smiting (costs 77 with the above setup), though.

Tonight I'm gonna test swapping the potentates for a 3rd willpower piece and torugs pact 1HS.

Would be nice, but I wouldn't count on it. Dragon weapons historically have been of the lowest drop rates of any craglorn sets to my knowledge. I think the drop rates are better now, but now the set is more valuable than it ever has been before. I once spent over 300k on a single sword back when it was only vr12.

I'd believe it. I actually haven't seen a sword yet. Saw a precise dagger selling for 300k or so. I refuse to use a dagger with a shield for aesthetic reasons. Fashion over function

Good testing . 5k on none crit whip is very good dmg . Interesting set . Curious about sustain with it . I know DK can tank on their own .

@Rohamad_Ali fights against people who know what they are doing require a well timed heavy resto or a second timed pot. I got some combat footage in the build video.

Shield sold within an hour at Rawl'kha trader. If I see one cheaper, I'll let you know.

Are you in 5 light in the video or heavy? What other sets are you wearing? I was thinking about trying this with 5/5 black Rose and then using 1 bloodspawn and 1 Kena or 2 piece Valkyn skoria or 2 bloodspawn. I bet it would be good with julianos or kags 5 piece too.

I hate how much this is I have 2 gold rings and gold neck already spent over 2 mil

I just got my silks of the sun 5 piece (3 jewelry, 2 body), and can't decide what else to run with it. I know tava is cool. I was thinking about doing 1 Molag Kena, 4 piece elfbane, and 2 torugs pact swords and then sword and shield on back bar. This would max out spell damage. Not sure how good it would be though. Any thoughts?

@Hutch679 congrats on completing the set! I plan on running mine with 5 black rose. With update 12 they're buffing valkyn skoria again, so it might be worthwhile to keep your head/shoulders open for it.

And...if you haven't read the patch notes yet, silks of the sun will drop in stonefalls in update 12!!!!

I would love to run black Rose with it, but it would mean I would have to get the sun swords which are not really economically feasible for me lol aren't like 1 mill each?

Where is this info? If this is true I'm just going to wait this stuff is way to much right now on xb1

Browsing every guild vendors (PC EU) for the past 3 weeks several times a day, managed to get

Sharpened Axe (why a sword if you running 1H ?!!)15k , Precise Resto 15k, Divine shield 30k, Neck 40k, 2 rings 280k.

Quite lucky I think

Am gonna try 5h.

Kag/Sun/Skoria or Malubeth or Guardian

1h/Resto with only 4 sun and no flame abilities on resto.

A good thing Sun will in pve zone next patch, as I have noticed these last days that all weapons have disapeared from vendors, maybe someone tried to corner the market ... Bad move ...
