undaunted leveling - public dungeon achievement's??

Help me out, as long as I can remember I thought to progress Undaunted you need to do pledges, and tick off the group dungeons. Ive done all the normal ones, and about 5 pledges, thus as long as I can remember I've been on about 4.75 on undaunted tree.

I read this week on UESP that the public dungeon achievements also progress the skill line, is that correct?
This morning I popped back to my zones 1-4 and mopped up a few bosses I missed to get all those Vanquisher/Conqueror achievement's but my bar hardly moved, if at all.

SO, please, can someone confirm 100% that public dungeon content levels Undaunted

AHH ok i just checked UESP and its not all 'dungeon achievements' on the list its the GROUP dungeon achievements from that list!! So its 10xp per normal dungeon all bosses dead, and 50 for each alliance.

You can level undaunted in delves and public dungeons, but not by beating the bosses. The "Dungeon Blocker," "Dungeon Healer," etc. achievements can be earned in any dungeon: vet, normal, public or delve. That's how you can get up to undaunted 3 or so without ever setting foot in a group dungeon.

I've never checked if it's right or not but I heard doing the group event in the public dungeons give you undaunted reputation.

I've done 'this ones on me', all the public dungeons (if the group events do count), don't think I've got 'dungeon blocker' but I've got the other ones, I've done all the normal group dungeons and most of the vet group dungeons (I don't have any of the additional achievements such as 'kill 100 of x in this dungeon') and I've not really done that many pledges (about 15 normal pledges and about half that number of vet pledges). Doing that has got me to just over 7.5 for undaunted

I've only ever heard that doing pledges, and the buying drinks quest, give undaunted xp.

Unless they changed something with the latest patch, public dungeon achievements don't count towards undaunted.

That's what I thought, but a few sources state the dungeon achievements count. Which makes sense as I have only done 5 pledgee and yet am 4.75...

From doing all the normal, and the one's for doing X amount of damage and X amount of healing etc.

Proof:

New Alt - I had undaunted levelled to 3 before I did a single group dungeon.

This had never happened before DB

Pre thieves guild I hit undaunted 3 and got Inner Fire without doing any edges at all.

Good training gear and enlightenment, do the 'buy you a drink' undaunted achievement thing.

About 2 weeks ago, one of my alts was in the Grotto of Depravity (Coldharbour delve) when I got the pop-up that Undaunted had reached level 3. I was surprised. Have they stealth-buffed Undaunted progression to include delves, too?

U can undaunted XP from from public dungeons. Its a very small amount, buts still possible. Got to level 4 and tell u what it sucks.

Not trying to take away forum. Sorry. But since it undaunted related. I'm so confused. My level 50 DK has undaunted level 5. I unlocked the healing morph Nerobtic? (Big huge floating ball) I only did dungeons 5 times. Off and on. (Usually long gaps apart) But all my time is spent in Cyrodiil. How did I got my Undaunted to level 5?

Also thanks for the link above. Need this for my level 14 healer.

This is correct. In fact, there are some quest instances (solo and not) that the game also considers to be dungeons for the purposes of tracking these achievements. I know because on some of my characters I've earned these achievements when I was in non-dungeon non-delve quest instances. I'm pretty sure all of the Mages Guild and Fighters Guild instances count, for example.

I don't think the Group Event gives Undaunted anymore. I have an Alt that I have done all the Public Dungeons on, and his Undaunted Bar has never seemed to move. I know it did not on a few that I specifically checked before taking down the Group Boss.

Specific delve [Explorer] and public dungeon achievement [Vanquisher, Conquer, Group Event] do not count towards leveling undaunted. But general ones Blocker/Damage Dealer/Healer/Lord do count towards that. There's also the achievement [This one's on me] that consists in buying a drink to undaunted NPCs in each zone that raises undaunted skill. http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Dungeons_Achievements#General

So it's quite possible to reach undaunted Rank 4 without doing any group dungeons or taking any pledges.

Completing pledges and doing speed run, no death, hard mode, kill X mobs of a certain type also raises rank much faster. I usually start at rank 4 and reach rank 9 in as little as 5 days of doing the daily pledges on a character. I do only veteran HM pledges so a lot of those achievements are gotten rather quickly.

I used to get to undaunted 4 by grinding in a delve in cyro on my new alts. that only killing mobs not getting achievements. so you get exp from killing delve mobs its just a very small amount. now this is also when vet levels were here so you grind a lot longer, not just to 50

Undaunted XP is rewarded upon completing this achievement and it's not much at all. IMO it's not worth it.
