Vet Fungal Grotto Boss Bugged

The boss Ciirenas the Shepherd in Vet Fungal Grotto appears to have massive resistance.
Most of my attacks were doing about 200 damage and crystal frags was hitting for about 1100. Normally crystal frags hits for 24k on the character I was playing.
It took us 2.5 minutes to kill the boss due to low dps.

This. I just ran that dungeon, and it had been a while since I'd done it, but I vaguely remembered that for some reason you were supposed to keep the spiders alive. We kept them alive and focused on the boss, and tore through her like a wet paper towel.
