still no group finder fix

yesterday i logged on at 6pm fancied a random dungeon stuck my tank gear on and qued ... 10 pm comes round still no groupfinder pop time for bed

i dont care what anyone says if a tank spends more than 30 mins in a que u know that que is broken

so zos when are u gona hold ya hands up and admit what most of the player base already knows . the group finder is FOOKED

at this point the best group finder is your factions hub chat... I have played since beta and I have used group finder once when it worked and that was a 83min queue that I forgot about while fishing.

ya generally i tell guild members best to find groups in chat or there respective guilds because group finder is not working.

I opened a ticket about being stuck in a cool down for 45 minutes the other day and it taking forever, if ever to get a PUG. Here is part of the message I received back, "Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online team. We are currently investigating reports that some players are experiencing issues using the Group and Activity Finder tools.
We have refactored how Group Finder works in Update 11, and we expect the current issues to be resolved in a future update."

So basically we're going to have to wait until the 4th quarter update to get this tool working. Just a bunch of pathetic idiots at ZOS.

A major part of the issue is that they haven't tailored the group finder to the needs.

If i post in chat: CP489 Healer LFG vDSA i know ill get picked up by groups that still need a healer. if I'm forming a group i post what I'm still looking for: LF2M DPS vDSA CP450+ and ill get replies. if the group finder was set up like that from day one to meet those needs it would've been fine, but it wasn't. it didn't allow for a specific enough filter when trying to find folks to group with. So as they have tried to 'improve' it they are working against the process that has become the norm because of their shortsighted approach to it to begin with.

it will likely never be fixed because the vast majority of players will still go to zone chat or guild chat and post like I've shown examples of here and they will never have enough people using the GF to make it effective, regardless of how 'fine tuned' they make it now.

was working fine pre dark brother hood patch infact when i qued as a tank it was a insta pop ... u forget its a mega server if just 1% of active player base used the group finder there would be ample ques ... however it just is not working now they sorta got it working post db if u wanted a 5 group dungeon but now its simply not working at all mid week myself (tank) and 2 friends (dps/healer) qued and there was nothing for 30 mins u try telling me there wasnt 1 dps in the que on the entire server at that time ... yeah right

Until they fix the group finder (I still hope they will) just use the zone chat. You will find a group quicker than queueing, especially since you are a tank ^^
