    I would actually be alright if they decided to do a daily 'restart/maintenance' of an hour or so. It WOULD require them to be working more often, but for 'less' time each round (spread it out, less fatigue, etc) but it would also require a LOT more communication between the teams at ZoS(Which from what I've read from reviews written by former ZoS employees, is NOT one of their strengths, which would perfectly explain how stuff, seen, documented, reported, etc, in pts still show up in live a month+ later...)

    Edit: Whoever posted about defraging.. not since the days of windows 98 have we needed to defrag. I mean, if your still doing it, your doing something wrong :tongue: More specificlly with windows 7 and on, it pretty much defrags your drives 2-3 times a day. And if u have a SSD it just HARMS the disk-Besides no matter 'where' the data is physically stored on a SSD it takes no difference in access time (Think of a SSD as a giant stick of ram)
    Lol.. That was me..hehe.. I have Win 10, and yes I know, but I was trying to make a point. It still gets defraged, even if its auto, I was trying to compare to if NO defrag was done, how your computer would perform, and the same with servers..:)

    Where did you come up with this? Weekly maintenance has been here since launch. (2014 launch). It's not the community's decision!     Did the last thread not inform you as to why they HAVE to d maintenance? The first 3-4 months of the game we had 2 maint a week, Monday and Thursday. And yes, any "AAA" MMO has weekly maintenance. WoW, Diablo, etc all do weekly maintain. EVE does it daily!!

    no other game take that ling weekly maintenances and no ive played most said game and there wasnt weekly maintenanaces. oh and also i played eso before and there wasnt weekly maintenances and if you didint read it there was a direct response from ZOS saying exactly that they are doing weekly maintenances as per request.

    Ok, seriously, are you new to ESO? They have done maintenance since launch! April 2014. If they did not do maintenance the game would be unplayable. Dont ever defrag or clean files on your computer, what happens?
    I played WoW too, and yes they have weekly maintenance, so I call shenanigans. I suggest you read up on what is actually involved in maintaining a MMO of this size, or re read my earlier post of maintenance details. I am happy they do weekly maintenance, as I've seen how horrible the game plays if they go for a few weeks without it.
    And Zos, Please close this thread. as it is beating a dead horse worse than "Auction House" threads.
    And again!!! Maintenance is to "Maintenance" servers! "Patches" are to fix bugs. Patches are done during maintenance, but maintenance is not a "bug fix" in it's self. Yes there are bugs, but the game is so much better than it used to be. You should have played beta! lmao!

    Dont ever defrag or clean files on your computer, what happens? - I have not used defrag in years, if they are they should get new software and hardware...
