I saw some "what you expect from" threads lately . This is a thread tanks sharing what they want from their group . Also a thread for sharing opinions between tanks about this topic .
Don't drop ultimates until tank makes boss stand still . Tank will kick you from group if you pull before he does or if you die because you stand in front of boss . Tank doesn't care about your DPS race between each other . Tank wants you to survive . Listen to tank . TANK SEES ALL THE MISTAKES YOU DO . Don't *** tank off .

Actually Velidreth is one of the few bosses that needs a full time, experienced tank. I find it extremely annoying and I have been one-shotted a number of times despite being warded, shielded, standing on circle of protection and blocking. The only way to survive there is to constantly roll from statue AoE, and pop magma shell as soon as ultimate is full (if it doesn't eat it). I've found it very hard to find groups that can do the bosses in the new dungeons on hard mode - i did them both with an experienced group in the first couple of days after the DLC release but I couldn't find others since and had to settle for one gold key
