Factions and guilds - confused

is it only members of the same faction that can be in the same guild?
the reason i ask is because if you are supposed to quest as guilds and do dungeons etc how does that work as i didn't think that different factions could group together

✭A guild can have members of different factions, since one person can have characters in different factions. Currently, you can only do quests with members of your faction, but you can group up with other factions to run dungeons. In the next major update, this system will be removed, and you'll be able to freely quest with people that are and are not in your faction.Edited by Pandorii on August 22, 2016 9:06AM0 -

✭✭✭I am GM of a cross-faction guild, and 80% of the group activities we do are cross faction. If you are in same guild, you can do group dungeons/trials together. Or meet up in Imperial City for some Cross Alliance Naked Fishing for real fun...:)
