Problem with weapon traits

Hello everyone,

leaving armor trait problems aside(prosperous ftw), I think there is great unbalance with weapon traits. Sharpened and defending traits are overperforming compared to other traits, their flat value is too high to other traits to compete.
Make no mistake, I personaly use sharpened trait on all my weapons, and i like that damage boost, im not crying for a nerf because of reasons. However, there is lots of interesting traits in game that simply have no use because of sharpened/defending superiority.
I believe that buffing other traits is not a good option, instead reduce armor that sharpened penetrates/defending provides. If you do that, people might use some other traits you have in your game.

Always going to be one that is best. Why suggest to weaken them? If you think the other traits are so interesting use them. I love how Everytime someone thinks of something they just want it nerfed or changed. Just make other options more attractive don't *** on what people like.
Besides in PVE if an enemies resistance is lower than 15k (not sure of exact number) precise is a better trait to use. There are some out there who can prove the math.
I think the idea is that by making a particularly strong trait, it will encourage players to search for it from dropped sets. If everything was equal or approximate to each other, the traits would be somewhat irrelevant. players wouldn't get that accomplished feel when they finally get that sharpened piece from the boss/chest. Basically trying to get the player base to buy into the rng more.

I know what you mean, you are right in some ways, but thats kind of my point. Other traits are garbage, useful only for deconstruction. I understand that gear you need should be hard to get, but for example VMA is kinda hard in itself, and when you get charged sword from last chest it feels like stab in the back. Why is charged(100% more apply status effect)even in loot table in vma, does vma weapons apply any status effect?
problem here is that few traits are usefull and rest is totall garbage compared to them. I dont think it should be like its now, that everyone have nirn/sharpened/presice. Traits should add some "flavor" to your gameplay. Infused for more enchant use, decisive for more utl etc., but its all irrelevant because sharpened/presice are too good to not have(pve wise).

My dunmer magnb runs an infused torugs (5pc) ice staff and an infused torugs resto in pvp. My light attacks proc +500sth spell damage every 5 sec for 5 sec and 5k Flame damage on every or every second weaved attack. Thats my flavour.

Charged is fun on a lightning staff. AOE stuns everywhere.

Is it true that one sharpened weapon will have an effect of both bars? I read that in an old post and wasn't sure if it was up-to-date.

I used powered Resto staff for PvP.
If It can't keep me alive, than why bother with a Restostaff at all?

Of course some trait are useful sutional(powered on back bar etc.), but i ment than sharpened is too strong in general.
