Let me tell you a story...
So about 6 weeks ago, a group of us Xbox players were eagerly working on clearing vMoL and awaiting update 11 with the new gearing, changes to Minor Slayer, and CP cap. We spent hundreds of hours practicing vMoL and finally beat it the week before the update. We ran nMoL and vSO HM hundreds of times getting the newer sets that we were told would be best-in-slot (well, we calculated given the changes to Minor Slayer) and provide noticeable damage increase come update 11. Everyone was excited and eagerly awaiting the update to drop! We were ready to improve and refine our vMoL times as well as clear vHRC and vAA and begin working on hard modes of all three.
We had a bad taste in our mouth from the previous update where we were not able to enter Orsinium or Grahtwood (we're AD players) and doing a Undaunted Pledge was taking your characters life into you own hands. For those not on console that don't know, characters were regularly trapped in Orsinium or Grahtwood attempting to do daily crafting writs or undaunted pledges. That whole experience was extremely frustrating but we were promised all the DC'ing, invisible enemies, game crashes, etc. would be fixed in update 11. Everything would be great for console.
Well, launch day comes and we try vHRC. It turns into a DC'fest. 7 DC's in 1 minute on the split bosses; it was so bad that for 2 minutes, we had one of the DD's kiting the lower boss around as he was the only member of his 6 man team to not have crashed. We ended up having people crash, relog and run back into the fight only to crash, relog and run back all in the same boss fight. Everyone was frustrated and discouraged by the situation.
Then, we noticed our damage seemed low. We spent hours testing Minor Slayer only to discover it doesn't work. It isn't that it works like update 10 only providing damage to boss monsters, no, it provides no damage bonus to any monster anywhere in Tamriel. All that gear we spent hundreds of hours farming is worthless and there is no ETA on a fix (and given the speed of patching on Console, some of us expect 6-8 weeks).
Of course, stupidly, we decide, 'let's go into vMoL and get another clear; that will cheer up everyone's spirits.' Well, we enter and begin fighting to boss #1 and notice lots of crashes outside the room. This was not previously an issue so we are mildly concerned. We proceed into the Boss #1 room and start the fight. Before the first pillar phase, 5 people had their game crash to dashboard including one healer and both tanks. We wipe and people basically say they will not enter vMoL again until something is done due to pure frustration.
What was supposed to be a great time for endgame console players has turned into a nightmare. All the time we spent and excitement we had coming into this update has been dashed in a mere three days. There has been no acknowledgement of the issues in vHRC and vMoL or the broken trait - Minor Slayer. We, as endgame console players, are basically left feeling like ugly step-children once again (the previous time being the Grahtwood and Orsinium issues in update 10).
