Real Talk - Console UI stinks (sometimes)

Let's compile a list of annoying things in Console UI in one place to help the Dev Team address these issues. If anything I post has a fix let me know and I will update the list.
There are so many little tweaks that have not been addressed. I have always meant to post something but never take the time to write them down while playing so this will be all from the top of my head.
Friends List (since the start of the game) hardly ever shows anyone online and updates late (like I never use it because it's never accurate). You have to have everyone you play with in your Guild or you have to use PSN UI.
Scrolling through Guild rosters resets to top when looking at members (anytime someone logs in or out in a 500 person roster if you're scrolling down the list it will reset your scroll to the top).
When in Guild Chat and joining a group (of people only in your Guild) you AUTO join Group Chat.
When in Group Chat and leave a Zone you AUTO leave Group Chat.
Guild Traders:
UI Search mechanics in the Guild Traders just aren't intuitive at all and are a negative QoL issue.
No way to search for a specific motif in Guild Trader (have to scroll through 2,000 Xivkyn motifs).
Have to re-input entries when looking for one item in Guild Traders
Have to scroll one number at a time to get to CP160 (wasn't as bad when it was just 16 but now it's 160 numbers). At least skip by 10's or just skip to the end or better yet keep my searches in memory as I doubt I will be looking for a CP123 item anytime soon...

johu31✭✭✭✭+1 to all of this on Xbox. I've mentioned many of times on here that it is impossible to run a tight ship guild with the scrolling roster glitch. It's never been acknowledged by @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom that I know of.
It's hurting the game in a way they do not see. Guild masters are giving up which means less social activities and events. It really must be fixed soon or reverted back to pre-orsinium when it was individual pages instead of a scrolling list.0 -
film✭✭✭When changing skills the side menu will sometimes stay on screen after exiting. You have to reset the skill or close app to fix it.

Yeah, I wonder if FO4 mods will be an inspiration for some kind of add-ons for PS4 -- not sure exactly how that works though so I could be totally wrong.

✭Brought up the question of having filters on the traders for things like motifs on the most recent ESO live. It's getting absolutely impossible to sort through some categories. Gina's response was something like "this is a good idea." =S There's hope.
As for the problem with the scrolling up of the roster every time somebody logs in. I can't stand it. I can't stand it at all, and I'm shocked at how complacent I've become with it. It's been like that for at least the 9 months I've been playing ESO on PS4. I got so used to it, I never thought to bring it up, and maybe the devs are unaware of the problem.
Similarly, the question of having a reply to sender feature on in-game mail was brought up. They responded with "we're working on that." So we can expect that soon, I think.
I'll try to come up with a few more other than the ones that you've listed, which are really big points.
This is a small one, but have you ever tried to split a stack of consumables and ended up accidentally using one instead? This happens to me way to much, because I make blue food for profit. I don't know what a good fix would be though.0 -
KICHZY✭✭✭✭Although I'm very happy with the implementation of text chat, The only issue worth noting about the UI on console is the lack of skill buff/debuff timers, This should be a priority.

✭✭No for buff timers. None of them are hard to tell when it's expired. If you miss them then you're just not paying attention or too busy to not do. An icon isn't going to help.
I actually lol watching some pc vids when it pops up telling people to "dodge now" "clense now" "potion ready" (the worst one you must be blind to need that) may as well have the cpu play the game for you...and "execute now" because reading 50% and 25% on a health bar is hard to find. Pc add ons are pretty damn lame imo.PC Master Race

I think it should be an option. You don't have to use them but a lot of animations don't show when the servers stressed.
