ESO Feels More Vibrant and Alive Again

With the latest update, it feels like everyone is busy doing a variety of things, much more so than in a long time.
  • The economy is active again because people can trade the updated sets and new combinations are possible with jewelry and weapons
  • Mazzatun gave PvPers something to farm (Amberplasm).
  • Updated PvP gear is good use for our stored AP
  • People farm the trials for sets and motifs - PvErs for better builds and gold, PvPers for gold
  • New small scale options available at the small towns in Cyrodiil
  • The no-cp and cp campaigns require different sets and let people choose whether they want the burstier PvP of CP campaigns or the (arguably) more balanced PvP Azura offers in terms of class balance and equal playing field as everyone has the same amount of CP

My guildies always seem to have something to do now even though they are small group PvPers at heart. We've been farming Mazzatun for Amberplasm. We've sought small scale encounters in Bruma and Cropsford. We've been doing nMoL, nAA and nHel Ra for the sets and the new motif. We've even been doing the achievements for the new skins. I love having an option to hide the ugly vampire skin (magicka dk in PvP, need I say more?) with the Amber skin. Things were looking quite bleak for a year or so, but now the talk in the guild has become much more positive about the game.

I really can't stress enough how important it has been for our guild to have Azura as an option to play in. I'm so glad the No-CP campaign was introduced earlier and that it still remains as an option. We prefer the feel of Azura in terms of gameplay. Resource management matters and it's not all about who can burst who first in a split second. There is also less lag on Azura than on Trueflame, so it's even been possible for us to play in the evening, during primetime. (Now if only our faction wasn't the highest pop on Azura, things would be even better x) ).

I hope ZOS continues to introduce new dungeons and sets, and to support Azura by not making Azura-breaking changes to the battle-spirit or general game mechanics. And maybe some day, even buff mag dks a bit for PvP...

I do agree with this. As a leader of a large social/casual guild and member of another, generally there is a sense of enthusiasm and optimism about doing content and getting rewarded.

In less than one month, I've seen new players join, level up, get hooked on end game PvE and improve by leaps and bounds, feeling great about the game. There's pugs looking for players all the time in guilds and zone giving people opportunity to enjoy the content.

I really like how the new dungeons have three distinctive difficulty levels for players of different levels and the rewards are the same so there's no pressure to nerf.

It's been a successful update I believe regardless of the forum whining that continues unabated.

Feels about the same. No wait. I got the dungeon finder to work yesterday. So it felt better for a day.

I completely agree that the economy has been better and PvE/dungeon play seems to have increased (the new dungeons are pretty great).

PvP though... I LOVE to PvP and spend the vast majority of my play time in PvP, but I've never seen as much toxic gameplay and such horrible balance as we have since the Dark Brotherhood patch dropped. From the swarms of cheaters to the horrible damage de-syncs to the rampancy of Major Evasion to the bugs/issues with the combat animation changes... It's a really sad state of affairs in Cyrodiil. :(
