Prices of the new motifs

Pure craziness. Craziness I tell ye! Chest alone is selling...

I must have missed the notes on this motif having some crazy superpower because how on earth is that reasonable?

So, I go looking for the dagger motif. Chests are always most expensive, right? Nope! Seeing some sell for 500,000.

Our ESO grandchildren will be left to live poverty if prices aren't balanced. We're spending too much and making too little. My kids, man...my kids

I think we are seeing the same thing in ESO that's happening in the US, a division between rich and poor. There are some few trader/farmer types with LOTS of money, and some more relaxed types who practically speaking can't afford anything "new" in the past 5 months or so.

I've never actually HAD more than about 40k in-game.

Same! Well, about 100k for me but it doesn't last when you're buying what you need, repairs etc.

Which style Cazzy? Four were added this update. Minotaur and Order of the Hour are pretty pricey on PC NA but Dark Brotherhood and Dro'mathra are getting pretty cheap since it's easier to farm them. Do a scaled down normal Maw of Lorkhaj run on every toon when the weekly resets and you'll get the coffer with a Dro'mathra one inside. Do the sacrements perfectly every day and you'll get a good chance of a Dark Brotherhood one.

Also on characters you can't do the sacrament perfectly on, just rush in kill the main target and rush back out. There is still a chance(even if small) for the motif to drop from green(non perfect) containers.

Dro-m'Athra. PS4 is crazy expensive so I'm really hoping @imnotanother is right

They will drop. I ran around one night buying dro'mathra chapters. Collected them all and spent under 500k for the lot. The most expensive was 69k

I try not to buy any new motifs until 30 days from release. Players are too impatient to let their items expire. Players start slashing prices like crazy once the demand drops just a bit.

That's how I'm treating the Minotaur and Hour of the Order motifs right now. The DBH and Dro'mathra ones were dropping so often people were already slashing prices to move them

There are day one groups farming it on the lowest level they can enter and trying to drive up the price.

Text chat will do wonders for guild store prices on PS4, once people keep it on and start using it and their becomes a designated place to go trade.

I'm sure you can find a farm group on PS4 running MAL on level 10 or whatever the lowest entry level is with 8 - 12 CP 160 geared people. Maybe 10 minute runs.

Heck if you have a low level volunteer to scale it for people.

If the Drom-Ath'ra coffers from Maw are supposed to be weekly, they are bugged. As it stands (at least for me (PC NA)) I have not gotten a second coffer for any character and it's been more than 2 weeks since getting the "first" one. So be aware that these motif fragments could actually be a one-time thing per character (outside of vMoL where I hear every boss drops one). They may return to and stay at their absurd prices.

Other trial weekly coffers seem to be WAI, however.

I heard that if you do Maw a 2nd time before 7 days passed since you got a coffer, the timer resets and you have to wait 7 more days.

Not sure if that's true, but I've also run it 3 times in the past 2 weeks and only got one coffer. I think I'm at 14 days since the last coffer now.

Text chat on the consoles will bring those prices down in a hurry. Everyone I see selling stuff is undercutting the guild traders by at least 25 percent.

Loads are scaling nMOL to lvl10 for motif runs in PC EU. But prices now are around 40k Dromathra motif

Seriously, I just can't make myself do anything remotely like grinding for more than a few min. So I will likely remain broke.
