Perhaps that allows all characters to use any hairstyle but that's not how it reads and the other hair styles are race specific....it's very unclear
There are no new hairstyles in this update - that pack is a collection of all the old hairstyles.
The advantage of that pack is, that you can change the hair anytime you want without to have to use an appearance token - you cannot dye your hair though, this would still require an appearance token.

The additional advantage of the pack is to have access to hair styles that your race never had before... only with this pack could I give my Bosmer the 'Short Imperial' hair style that is available ONLY to Imperial, Breton and Altmers in the creation screen, even though there are Bosmer male NPCs running around with the Short Imperial hair style in-game.

Wait, so only some of the hairstyles are race-specific?
Its been a while since Update 11 for PC and I'm still not 100% clear on the hairstyle pack. I know that it's pre-existing hairstyles, but I'm not quite clear on how limited one is by race when changing their hairstyle.
It's kind of like the personalities; I assumed that they would affect some of the emotes like the Assassin personality, maybe even the run/walk animation. They didn't, and I pouted.

@Lysette I immediately made my Altmer lady have a salt and pepper Afro, and my redguard lady get the bunches of curls in back hairstyle my Imperial had, and is otherwise unavailable to those races.
This is the first time I have found information on what this actually does. Thank you! It is something I'm interested in, but ZOS themselves are doing a *** poor job describing it in the crown store. I thought it would only allow you to select from all hairstyles at character creation time. The advantage of that pack is, that you can change the hair anytime you want without to have to use an appearance token

Am I crazy, or did the Developers specifically state a few months ago, that we would get MORE options for our characters? As in new haircuts, new colors for beards and hair, new beards, earrings and so forth?

Just to clarify, buying the 1000 crown pack is all 92 old hair styles, but it unlocks the ability to equip any of these (on the applicable race) directly from your menu at any time, just like the costumes.

This is what should appear in the crown store @ZOS_GinaBruno

Does the new hair color match your current hair color or is it some random color?
