Here we have a hairstyle from an upcoming MMO/Survival game:
Notice that it is:
Long
Beautiful
Is crafted in such a way that it will not clip with armors or be otherwise graphically unwieldy DESPITE being long and beautiful.
And yet THESE are the hairstyles you are planning on offering for sale in the cash shop:
Can we ask why? Every single thread regarding barber shop, style parlor, hair, etc. has had people overwhelmingly asking you for LONG hair. Did ANYONE honestly ask for a single one of these hairstyles? Now granted, I am posting the ones I found the most unattractive but there is also the fact that not a SINGLE solitary one of the new hairstyles (that have not even been offered in the cash shop yet despite having been on PTS) is LONG. None of them are even as long as the two longest styles already available in the game. Is there a legitimate reason you seem to be ignoring the requests of players in this regard? I would quite disagree with that.. Yes you are not allowed to freely change your appearance, but that WOULD be kind of weird.. We have tons of options when we create our characters, so take the time to make it right and you'll be fine.. Having the option to change all the time would make for a weird world

When I say ZOS' character customization is bad I don't mean we should be able to completely remake our characters for free all the time. What I mean is that the OPTIONS we have are really bad. Most the of current hairstyles are, in the opinions of many players, really unattractive. The same can be said of the very limited makeup options. Ditto the adornments, tattoos and scars. Not only do we need MORE of all of them, we need BETTER ones. And if the new hairstyles and the single adornment so far being offered (well, not really offered as you can only currently get the single adornment and none of the hairstyles) are indicative of what they'll also be offering us in these other categories I am really worried. No it doesn't and with the hairstyle pack, ZOS sold already, you can just change the hairstyle on the fly, wherever you are just like you would change a costume - so your argument is not in tune with what ZOS is actually offering. Now when you consider, that those are spikes with Argonian characters, this is really not something what ZOS would be concerned about - for them it isn't weird. I see this kind of changes as a form of illusion magic - so to me it makes sense as well seen from a role play perspective. I still have the original hair - but once I use a hairstyle from the collection tab, the illusion of another hairstyle is created - but I still have the original one, it is just hidden by the illusion.Edited by Lysette on August 17, 2016 1:36PM3 -

Then you might be a man - a woman understands it as an appearance change, it makes a huge difference and creates the illusion of a different personality - just by choosing a different hairstyle which is a lot different from what one had before.
Example: Kira Knightley - short hair
Kira Knightley - medium hair
Kira Knightley - long hair
Edit: and as a bonus - Kira Knightley with opulent hair

Well, our disagreement is not really important ZOS has declared that haircuts are not part of appearances for the moment therefore, I think the system is fine as is.. If we didn't think our appearances through at creation, we get to pay for it, fair and square.. I DO agree though, that some longer hairstyles could be nice 2 -

Yes, single-player TES games also had... Questionable character aestetics when it comes to hairstyles (imo of course, but I just cant stand those greasy hair options from Oblivion and Skyrim despite all my love to the series), but at least people could fix it with mods.

✭I too wish for longer hair, both male and female. Also, a HUGE mane for my Khajiit. Shaggy to the chest and wavy down the back, like a RL Lion. Because Master of His Pride, that's why. :-)
If we can't get decent motifs to fit the female form anymore though, how can we expect decent hair?5 -

Besides, better looking hairstyles have been requested for a very long time, and they could make some good profits by selling them. So its kinda weird to see what ZOS finally offers... Non-animated ponytail that looks like a wooden stick?

✭I also agree that we need more long hair. I picked this one hair because it was the longest, and it wasn't even long. My hair is longer than that irl.
I'm also frustrated with a lot of the asymmetry in the bangs of hair, and the lack of bangs on many nice ponytails. It'd be nice to be able to choose the bangs separate from the hairstyle, but I know I'm asking for too much.
Nicer longer hairstyles is a small request. I hope they hear us out.2 -
