    It used to cost twice as much on the first months (PC). Be happy it costs less now.

    Because it's a "Role-Playing Game" where you're supposed to be playing a role. It's not Barbie dolls where you can switch from being an astronaut to a [SNIP] in 5 minutes.

    Because it's a role playing game respecing should cost 10 - 15 K as compared to 200 - 300 gold.

    I enjoyed the 1 gold respec quite a bit it wasn't cost prohibitive, I could level up did alternate morphs of skills, and try other roles for each of my characters.

    I'm sorry for your early life issues with barbies and late life issues with hookers since life is not a "role playing game" and your not locked in unless you have 20K gold there is still time for you.

    spending 3-6k per respec is not bad once you realize that you can make that back quickly. I rather pay ingame gold then real cash like some mmos.

    @MerkzM8 If they offer the low cost respec, it is usually for only a week or so after the updates that had the major skill changes.

    well, I don't know about your platform but on console its been 1 gold per skill point for like forever. I respeced yesterday and it was only 1 gold per skill point, so I dunno.....

    It is 50 gold per skill point on PC.

    ESO has both options even - you can get a scroll for 750 crowns, I think it is - or you can do it with ingame gold.

    I paid close to 16000 gold to respec today. Thought it was a bit much.

    Hmmm... you might want to have different characters that specialize in different roles.
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    it has only been that way since the last patch (DB). We had it cheap for ....2 months? I think. And there were not that many class changes this time (unlike last time) so they took the cheap respect away. Next time they flip the meta on its head they will probably do so again

    Thankfully the wonderfully brilliant economy designers made it so that monsters and bosses sometimes drop 12-28 gold coins. But don't worry if that's not enough gold for you to replenish after a skill/attribute/champion point reset you can sell it to other players using the flawlessly designed guild stores!!!

    The best part? Well you can only sell to your guild mates. Hey don't be sad. These economy designers from ZOS know what they are doing so they made it that guilds can bid on traders on a weekly basis so items can be sold to other players outside your guild.

    That's right in order to gain a lot of gold you have to spend a lot more that doesn't even exist in your pocket!!!! Hey it's the brilliant part of ZOS economy algorithm!!!!

    So do not fear about respec your points, the price it currently has it's fine, or so they say. 3000 out of your hard earned, grinded gold for champion point respec is no sweat, same for attribute points. Because you can make it all back and more in less than a 2 hrs!!! remember to give a hands to the designers for a "well thought out economy system"
