Hey @danielpatrickkeaneub17_ESO did Render help you and bobcat with your Templar build yet?
You mean having the whole zerg run Malubeth heavy armor?
Hahaha. No one needs to help me with my build.
40.6K magicka, 3300 spell power as an Imperial without undaunted. My build is fine, my race will be changed on Tuesday and I got a bank full of armor to cycle through. I'm good, thanks.

Except that we have like 5 total magplars. Regardless, I'm a glass cannon. If you catch me when I'm running a seige weapon, swapping my bar at the wrong time, or riding by myself 2 shotting me is totally possible. Then again, if I'm in battle (prepared to fight) I'm one of the hardest people to kill as I mist form between many people.
Meanwhile, now you have me interested. How are you gonna "fix my build"? Please say Impen so I can laugh.

Have you actually tried impen?
Yes. I felt like I was swinging wet noodles. When I used it I died about 10% less, and got about 50% less kills. It just wasn't for me. I like traits that are always in use. Impen only works when someone else crits you which is only about half the time, and then it's only capping bonus damage as opposed to base damage. I can definitely put together a good build with it but nowhere near the (admittedly) insanely overpowered magplar build I have now.
Now with that said, if I'm fighting a superstar, yes, it would help. Thing is 80% of Cyrodiil isn't that. If I have an ice comet queued up (which is almost always) that and RD take care of most opponents.
Honestly the biggest problem I have are wrecking blow spammers cause I prefer to fight at range. Usually the best defense I have for them is to nuke them first. When in doubt mist form and breath of life fix most other issues and let's not forget about my batman like utility belt filled with potions.
Long story short, played almost every magplar build possible (other than malubeth) and my current one is the most effective. That said, I could use a few more tempering alloys so I can be a bit more OP. If you have some feel free to send them over!

Not so comical if the 50 are truly so weak.
Who knows? They probably were weak. That doesn't change the fact that "nothing to fear, attack" sounds like bad GoT fanfic dialogue.
Sounds like his group was having fun to me. So serious. Whatchu got against a little cheesy dialogue to lighten the mood? I certainly wouldn't lead into a pug smash with serious tactics and battle comms.

You're crazy. Running impen so drastically improves your survivability that it allows you to build for less overall defense/sustain and stack even more burst because when you're not getting crazy damage numbers from Crits you can easily outheal incoming damage on most classes. I can't remember the last time I took 8k damage from anything, typically my death recap is filled with 4-5k damage abilities, which, are much easier to deal with than the big heavy hits.

That's just it. When I'm not running impen, I still don't see huge damage numbers outside of ganking situations and stealthy bomb builds. It's almost like the rise of everyone running impen has resulted in nobody stacking crit. Whether I'm all impen'd or not, I just don't see huge crits regularly. Occasionally, sure.
I wish I could understand why my fellow yellows run up the red side and go back and forth between BRK and Arrius. I do not get it. I normally spend my time defending home keeps and attempt to stop blue from cutting off the main group. To bad we are normally so small in number we can cover all the keeps.
If someone figures out why yellow runs up to BRK then let all of us know.

Exactly this. I get hit like once a week with a 20+ K tick.
Yes, there are situations where it helps. No one is denying that, but you're still capping BONUS damage. Bonus damage that is limited at 50%, from a bonus that only happens on average 50% of the time, AND even with max Impen you'll only be blocking about 50% of that. Oh and let's not forget battle spirit.
If you're a monster who regularly hits for 40k in PVE then you'll have this happen.
40 times .5 (BS) = 20 K times 1.5 (crit) = 30 K - 5 K (Impen) = 25 K
That's the worst possible realistic scenario. Impen just saved you from 5K damage.
Now do that to an average player dealing 20k in PVE. Impen saves you about 2.5 K damage. That's a light attack.
Add in the times where people don't crit and you have a trait that is useless 50% of the time.

Damage isn't the issue people have with the build, it's the mitigation. I have a friend that one shots people with heavys from stealth as a magic nightblade. I'd post the videos, but I don't know how. For those of you who don't know me, I'm on Xbox.
