As said, the notes for ps4 do not mention the changes (nerf) to Bombard. This is still in the latest PC/Mac notes. Is this just a omission or has that change been reverted ?

Wait... A fix that PC players got won't be released on console until November/December...? Surely a typo @ZOS_JessicaFolsom?

Perhaps they were waiting to see how much outrage it caused before going to the consoles. Once I read those patch notes, I immediately dropped Bombard and went to Acid Spray.

Hmmm. Seems to me more likely the "we understand that performance is unacceptable on console, we have our entire staff working on this as their top priority." Meanwhile they put out several patches and hotfixes on PC, released a DLC on PC, and still didn't get around to fixing their broken game until the DLC drop on console.... Which apparently from the early reports is still broken...

Not quite sure whether to laugh or cry about all of this. I'll stick to laughing for the moment while my money goes elsewhere. GG ZOS GG

Just makes me wonder that, if enough people complain to Microsoft, they step in and give ZOS an ultimatum like they did with DCUO... in doing so they saw the game improved in just two days- from what I've heard.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_GinaBruno Since console players are clearly no longer a priority, can we finally get an answer on console to pc transfers?

Hey. Just so you know, the Bombard change did go through to console. My Bombard tool-tip states it will no longer immobilize snared targets.

You may need to double check that Jessica because the change to Bombard is reflected on my Tool-tip in game on the console server.

She's not saying that at all. She's saying the change to Bombard specifically will not be in until Update 12. There will still probably be patches in September and October for other issues.

@Enodoc So they've identified a problem. Patched it on PC. And then tell console users "Sorry, deal with the broken mechanic for another quarter." Does that not seem a bit... well, (insert your choice of exasperated expletive here) wrong?

To me, the bombard spam isn't as big an issue as just the treatment of console players as a whole. Orsinium has been broken for months, they say they have everyone working on it, but don't implement a fix until the quarterly update (and then it still doesn't work). They admit the performance on console is atrocious and state "Getting this fixed is our highest priority and we have every staff member working on it." In the meantime they push a new DLC out and patch several bugs on PC. Not so much as a hotfix for major issues on console.

Its kind of like a doctor noticing a clogged artery and telling you that its incredibly important to get that fixed. Utmost priority. But you have an appointment scheduled in a couple months so I guess we will ignore it until then. Hope you don't just quit in the meantime.

Right, but as they said on ESO Live, ability issues are High Risk, and as such, fixes for those go into appropriate High Risk patches (major updates). The fix for Console obviously missed going into the code branch for Update 11, and because of its risk factor cannot be implemented now until Update 12.

Sucks to have to "clear" everything with Sony and Microsoft before patches can go through - that is why we get the shaft on console.

@Enodoc That's not logical. They declared abilities being High Risk as the potential to cause game-breaking side effects. Something like gap closers being able to jump walls. This has been implemented on PC already. Therefore it has passed their review process and therefore should be implemented on console in the next patch, not major update. They changed ambush's behavior outside of a major patch, therefore that explanation doesn't fly (yay puns).
