How much health do you buff to at level c160

I've read the forum and there are different theories. I'd like to hear yours.

Assume the player is finishing the PvE cp run and is at 160. Now they're thinking about starting PvP. A nightblade, pure DW, all skills and passives maxed on DW and all three NB skill lines.

How much health would you run/buff to? Right now I've 10 level points in health, 9 level points in magicka as a backup to the balance which is in stamina. I'm running an armor set that buffs stamina, and crit. With the FG skill selected that buffs crit, I have 54 crit on both bars.

But the problem is I'm dying because bosses are one or two hitting me. My base health (unbuffed by food) is around 13k. Is that too high, too low?

Thoughts? I'd appreciate your help.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

The heroes during times of war, are nothing but mass murderers during times of peace.

The answer is simply "as much as you need to survive". 13k unbuffed sounds fine as a DPS as if you add the +5k with food you'd have at least 18-19k which should be more than enough for most vet Dungeons if not trials.

However, you mention that you are being one/two-shot by bosses so try having more health until you get more experienced and learn the mechanics well enough to avoid the damage. For example, the first few times I ran vCOA it was nice to have +20k health but now that I know the dungeon I'm just fine with 16-18k.

Another good question to ask is why are bosses hitting you at all? For the most part dungeon bosses shouldn't be attacking you very often if the tank is breathing. There are special mechanics that you need to learn to avoid/mitigate though: dodge, block, shield, heal or whatever you can to lessen the damage. A healer can't help you at all if you're one-shot and even in a two-shot case it can be difficult if not magicka intensive.
