Honestly it depends on what you're dyeing. Metals tend to have a better look, whereas cloth looks a bit... meh. I picked a costume which shows both kinds I'm talking about, if it helps. The trim on my costume is metalish, which is what it will usually look like on anything metal. All 3 slots were dyed with Abssal Beryl.
