In the screenshot is my AD sorc, when she was level 45. Look at her quest log. See anything odd there?

Has anyone else ever had something like that happen to them?

You are able to share quests even if the player cant physically enter the zone you must be in...

This also works with Gold Coast daily quests...

*edit to add*The odd part he is talking about is he can't enter that zone yet...

I never paid attention but if you pick up any other quests in your gold/silver zones, what level does it say? I'm thinking because these used to be VR level (which are now removed) they just show level 50.. and it was never added to show the CP level of the zone.

It's because technically speaking we are all Lv50, regardless of our Champion Rank. It's like a relay race: Level reaches the point where it hands the baton to Champion Rank and then Champion Rank runs the rest of the race. No matter how far Champion Rank gets, our ACTUAL Level is still 50.

Yeah, any silver/gold zone quest shows as level 50.
The thing is, she never left her home alliance (she's not finished the main quest yet, so couldn't go to DC if she wanted to) and I think she only ever grouped for dungeons a couple of times.

This being a non-instance, she wouldn't be able to go there and complete the quest at that level even if she wanted to. I have no idea how a quest from the DC zones ended up in her journal.

Maybe you were grouped with a higher level character and they shared that quest with you.

Yes but all quests have a "recommended" level, which is what that is. For any zone that has Champion Rank enemies the recommended level for quests there will always be 50. Same goes for dungeons that scale.

It's not the level of the quest, it is that he cant be in that zone at all... He can't physically do that quest for another 5 levels, or till Tamriel One/One Tamriel(I can never remember what it''s called)... Thus, why is he able to get it?

Actually I was in a group doing all the group delves one after the other and 2 people in our group were like level 30 but we had no problem going in every single delve in the game. That quest comes out of the delve with the beam of light match the picture puzzle.

For a member of DC you could do it at that level, but AD and EP have to have access to all of Tamriel to do it.

Just to clarify, folks, you can enter Cadwell's zones at level 45 ...

Minimum requirement for the God of Schemes quest for Molag Bal is level 45. Upon completing it you can start with Cadwell's Silver/Gold. I've done it with prior characters ... verified also by UESP here:

Minimum requirement for the God of Schemes quest for Molag Bal is level 45. Upon completing it you can start with Cadwell's Silver/Gold. I've done it with prior characters ... verified also by UESP here:

If you defeat Molag Bal, sure. Usually though, trekking across Coldharbour levels you far beyond that by the time you get to face him.

Long time ago I've reached Golden Zone after gaining V1 lvl.
So there's no big deal now in getting to Golden Zone while being at lvl45.

He had to have had this quest shared to him by a higher level char, possibly accepted it entirely without noticing. Its happened to me a few times. You can share absolutely any quest to anyone else regardless of level providing they havent already done it, or its not a repeatable.

Yeah because both Silver AND Gold unlock at the same time now whereas before you just complete Silver (which can easily be done within a single Vet Rank) to get to Gold. Of course there's still the matter of running Coldharbour without leveling past 45 lol

Are you talking about the Coldharbour zone itself, @UltimaJoe777 ?

Coldharbour is accessed after the Stirk quest which is independent of the Main Quest. I usually try to complete the Stirk quest early (way before 45) ... since my non-Vet characters are so starved for skill points and there's no minimum level requirement.

At any rate, I'll try to post a screenshot tonight.

Are you talking about the Coldharbour zone itself, @UltimaJoe777 ?

Coldharbour is accessed after the Stirk quest which is independent of the Main Quest. I usually try to complete the Stirk quest early (way before 45) ... since my non-Vet characters are so starved for skill points and there's no minimum level requirement.

I want to say there was a glitch where you could pick that quest up in Volenfell, ages ago. But, I'm not 100% certain.

Yeah, no, back in the day, VR quests were technically level 50. If you used something like the multiquest tracker, or looked at the journal, it would happily report this to you.

That is correct. But this character has not finished the main quest. In fact, she only went as far as Daughter of Giants.

I've always hit V1 on previous characters just about when I enter Coldharbour. I just can't seem to leave quests behind, so I never experienced going to Silver/Gold as a non-Vet (though I've seen level 45s in Glenumbra before)

You may be on to something. Because I think you have to hand that quest in in Volenfell, no? I'll have to check if she's done that dungeon or not. I think she might have.

You don't have to finish the main story to get access to the rest of the map, just be level 45.

On my second character I'm still on the main quest 'messages across tamriel' and I have access to every inch of the map, including coldharbour.

Interesting. I thought it was either finish the Main Quest or reach V1 to get to the other zones. In the case of this character, I got the wayshrines to the gold/silver zones when she hit V1. I will have to test that with my DK when she gets to 45 (if she does before One Tamriel, that is).

And I checked this morning and the character in question has not done Volenfell, so I still don't know where she picked up that quest.

You can start silver/gold zones once you finish the lvl 45 main story quest in the Harborage.

You can at lvl 45 after you kill Molag Bal - if not it's lvl 50.....
