Sorc set up

So I have rolled a magic sorc, I was just wondering what would be the gear set up I should look for whilst in PVE and a little PVP ? I will run 5-1-1, will having elegant peices be my best option?

Could also use a bit of help on what skills I should be using to get the best out of my sorc as I am not very familiar

First of all, what lvl are you now? That would narrow the response down considerably.

How're are you finding your build?

I'm cp 463
5 pieces julianos - gold
2 pieces torug's pact - purple
1 piece from kena set (shoulders) - purple
3 pieces willpower (all jewellery)

I think I am going to swap in Julianos and will power and drop the elegant pieces and see what suits me best.

It's a good set up but without the elegant swords it just feels a bit underpowered

I think if you you go 5 Julianos, 5 Elegant and 1 Kena, if you're an Overload Sorcerer, you would do better than base yourself on a full set of Kena

Apprentice: Elemental Expert 100 - Elfborn 10 - Spell Erosion 50 - Blessed 7
Atronach: Staff Expert 10

The Lady: Hardy 35 - Elemental Def 34 - Thick Skinned 13
The Lord: Bastion 95

Gear Setup

5 piece Seducer - Helm/Feet/Legs/Chest + Resto/Destro Staff
2 piece Shadow Dancer - Belt/Gloves
1 piece Kena - Shoulder
3 piece Willpower - Neck/Rings

I did have 3 piece Shadow swapping Seducer Helm for Kena helm and adding SD shoulders

Destro Bar - CFrags/Crushing Shock/ Hardened Ward/Velo Curse/Endless Fury - Ulti Ice Comet

Try it out and compare it to your current build, it's a build for dps

Spell damage enchants on all jewellery
Max magicka enchants on all armor

However my recovery is low but that's how it is, you'll struggle to find a build that caters to max magicka, spell damage, spell crit and magicka recovery, what I run covers all but recovery, you could use spell cost enchants but that lowers dps.

julianos, willpower, 2x kena, and just do a sharpened destro staff until you get maelstrom one. Not worth doing the one piece kena, one piece torugs shoulder, and torugs staff- especially when u can enchant the staff with a spell power glyph.

i use dw as my back bar

cp:

92 magician
75 arcanist

100 elemental expert
rest in elfborn, except like one or two in spell erosion

i do 100 bastion, and split the rest between hardy and elemental defender.
OR 20 bastion, 20 quick recovery, and the rest hardy and elemental defender

all max magicka enchants on armor,
all divines except maybe one infused on a 'bigger' piece (legs, chest and something else give you bigger enchants...)
