Update 11 Hype Thread (Console) - Today!

Update 11 will finally hit consoles this Tuesday. Along with it are, debatably, two of the most long-awaited features.

Costume dyeing and text chat.

Remember the days when we never thought this could happen? How inferior we felt? Shyness, penniless - whatever your woes - we can now communicate on an easier level. Plus we can show our personality in the colours we choose!

I'm less excited about those things than I am about the fixes supposedly coming with them. Also pretty worried about how the new features will possibly break things even further. So there's that.

I'm looking forward to the fixes and trials/group content being scaled.. Now if only there was a hub/finder for said content...

I actually prefer voice chat for anything PvP and maybe even trials. Will be excited to invite and meet new people though! buying or selling gear or LFG will be easier for many. I do know a few unable to use a mic for various reasons including deaf/mute and I welcome you all to be more a part of this community!

Unfortunately this opens up a more toxic side of online gaming with the keyboard warriors and the racial/political etc nonsense..

I can't wait to change my Nord DK to a Dunmer. I'm a little nervous though, because I heard there were problems with race change in PC (losing skills; not getting new passive bonuses).

I'm super stoked for update 11 to finally hit consoles! Text chat will help soooo much when it comes to trading n grping (rip guild traders rip broken activity finder lol). Imho it's the biggest update I personally have been waiting for besides the removal of veteran ranks. Can't wait, I'm off Tuesday Wednesday!

Wondering how much this will this effect FPS in PvP on large fights though will see if there is a noticeable difference on or off.

Does anyone know if you can get the new monster piece shoulders in chests WITHOUT buying the DLC?

Or do you have to buy the DLC for them to appear in chests?

I would imagine you need to buy the DLC or have ESO+. I'm not sure though!

The Golden Vendor is at your home gate, not in the Imperial City, and thus does not require a DLC to access it. The only reason you'd need a DLC for Velidreth and Might Chudan is if you wish to obtain the helmets for those sets from the boss monsters relative to them. The Shoulders can be obtained from either the Undaunted Chests or The Golden regardless, no DLC required.

So in short: DLC = Head piece drops, no DLC = Shoulders and can purchase Head piece if it appears in Cyrodiil via The Golden.

true but dlc 1500, name change and race change is 3500, an out fit for the new race 700 etc coming up to more than the actual game price.

I might wait for the dungeon im in no rush to do it
