Charged trait on vMA 2h weapons?

Why is this trait even part of the loot table for vMA 2h? Unless I'm missing something, this is basically like not having a trait at all, making it even worse than Prosperous or Training (unless I were to put my own enchant on it, which defeats the purpose of running vMA).

Can you kindly ask for this to be deleted @ZOS_JessicaFolsom?

    No its part of the fun... makes sense on a 2h axe. It makes it like 55% chance to put the bleed on them. It's quite powerful that bleed in fact. Enjoy it :)

    Hmm, the axe bleed is a nice DoT, but I highly doubt the Charged trait increases the chance to proc the passive axe bleed - I thought it only applies to the enchants on your weapon. Am I wrong? Have you confirmed that it works this way @DRXHarbinger ?

    Even if it does work for axe bleeds (which I doubt, they're not a status effect), it would actually lower dps.
    Just with a 16% proc chance the axe bleed often reprocs within 2 seconds, making it overwrite itself with no damage done whatsoever.

    Bleed is a status effect. Same as burning, poison and disease isn't it. My DK does run this axe in question as I don't have 6 batches of maelstrom weapons on good traits and it does seem to make them bleed out a bit more frequently than 16%.

    That's a good point too, I wouldn't want a really high proc chance on the axe bleed to constantly refresh the DOT and lose damage ticks.

    No, it's no status effect, it's only a passive. Status effects are burning, chilled, concussion, poisoned and that desease-thingy.

    They need to really remove a bunch of traits or make it so there is a token/completion system that actually rewards you.


    I run vMA 1-5 times a day usually and I still haven't gotten anything worth using and my first completion was a couple months ago. They would rather make you grind until you want to quit the game as opposed to actually reward you for beating the hardest solo content they can produce and using said rewards to do the other tough content.

    and Charged is never useful for direct bursty raw damage

    The 220% increase on procs is I think also too low for longer fights.

    Say you have a Charged Bow and would use Scorched Earth, only as example...
    Your base chance to proc the Burning effect per Fire Damage tick is 1% (AOE DOT)
    So that increases to 3.2% chance and if it procs you get 3 Burning ticks in 3 seconds.
    Other example for a back bar Bow:
    You put a Poison Enchant on it
    Your base chance to proc the Poisoned effect from the Weapon Enchant Poison is 20%.
    So that increases to 64% chance to proc.
    And if it procs you get every 2 seconds a Poisoned tick (total 7 ticks)
