Hey all, it's been a while since I last played. Went over to GW2 and BDO for a while, and now coming back for a stint.

Just wondering if you lovely people of the forums could give me a simple, bullet point list of what's gone on, what i need to consider and work at and in terms of characters and gear, how woefully behind am I ??

Yeah... so, first thing you'll notice on login is, you don't have a V1 Nord anymore...

Vet ranks were removed. Gear caps at CP 160 and all toons above 50 can wear max gear with a account with that much CP.

General class ballances that would be too numerous to mention. The bullet points are tanks have lost stamina regen while blocking and require much more dedication and build changes to play effectively. (If your not running wacky bulds like I do.)

Many crafting motifs were released.

DLC to buy: Dark brotherhood, Thieves guild, Orsinium, and shadow of the hist if you like dungeons, and imperial city if you like PVP. (If you hate PVP, trust me, it's not worth it.)

Champion system is similar to Diablo3's Paragon if you ever play D3 at all.

Also you quitting BDO after that p2win debacle? Better stay away from that game

Yeah, vaguely remember the Champ System - so will revisit that tonight and over the weekend.
Nah, we (me and a mate who started here ages ago) were in a decent guild, which pretty much self imploded. Still playing but have friends here so coming back to join them and have some quality banter in TS

As for the P2W - to be honest, it really isn't. I mean, spending €30 to buy an outfit, to sell for 20m Silver, doesn't really make any sense. It's just Kakao taking them to the cleaners - nothing wrong with that

That being said, getting a Ninja outfit is a pain in the ass and requires just sitting there at AH waiting

Got ImpCity before I left, so I guess will have to pick up the others? What kind of prices are we talking?

Also, how are the Templars? Used to be a strong class, still good? Any new classes added worth investing time in?

Your Nord isn't lost, they just grew up without you.

Though, seriously, there have been a lot of minor changes. Nothing quite as big as the Vet system finally getting rotated out of the game, though.

Just came back after a year away myself. Had to start a new character from scratch just so I could teach myself how to play again. First logged in on my (formerly) V16 Magika Sorc, and switching bars, keeping up buffs/shields, all while not standing in red was impossible after being away so long. lol

Before you decide to purchase any DLC this one would advise you give ESO Plus a try for a month.

We now get the most amazing bags of crafting and also now the ability to dye costumes - along of course with access to all DLC.

You aslo get 1500 crowns for each month you sub When you pay. So if you are really against subs you can consider it a payment plan as you save up crowns for the dlc once you unsub. Or you can just stay subbed and spend the crowns on other things.

ooo, another question. Toons. What are they now in terms of Meta. Something that can take on the PVE and PVP. Is temp still a good toon?

One is referring to the characters one might take on to conquer the worlds of Elder Scrolls. Should one continue on their previous journey mastering The Templar or are there better, more powerful considerations to be had?

Hmm.

Khajiit has an apprentice - the orc boy Sherlock. He calls himself Templar though khajiit she sometimes calls him a big dumb green boy obsessed with his fancy clothes. This one understands he is quite powerful.

However this one she also always hears many people saying how incredibly overpowered nightblades - especially khajiit nightblades - are. Of course Santie is in now way biased on this matter as a Khajit nightblade ...

The first consideration always for khajiit though is not how powerful an apprentice might be but how well you get on with them and how willing they are to pay for your drinks. Khajiit has eight apprentices now so she rarely buys her own ale these days.

Templar is still a very good class to go with. Especially since everyone is calling for Radiant Destruction nerfs...

I do both PVE and PVP and there's nothing I haven't been able to do with them so far. Stamina is the Meta now but Magicka can hang in there.

If your low on CP and don't like the game play you find in the CP campaigns(Trueflame/Haderus) give Azura a try. All CP is turned off there so it's based more on builds and armor sets. It's been a real blast so far.

If memory serves, I'm sure I converted one of the Temps to a Stamina one, which worked out quite well...

@SantieClaws Yes young Khajiit, I see things have not changed with those pesky nightblades. I remember this being so some years back

Hows the Lag situation in large battles in PVP - still struggling with server meltdown or coming to terms with it?
