I have tried searching for this information on different ESO sites but don't seem to have found it.
I am creating gear to try and quickly train up my alt characters. It did occur to me that I don't know the strategy used when combining the same trait on multiple pieces of gear.
There are 3 main possibilities I can think of:
Additive: All the percentages are simply added.
1 piece of 7% training gear (107% experience). 2 pieces of 7% training gear (114% experience) i.e. (100% + 7% + 7%)
Multiplicative: The percentages are multiplied.
1 piece of 7% training gear (107% experience). 2 pieces of 7% training gear (114.5% experience) i.e. (107% x 107%).
Highest trait wins: Fixed at the value of the highest trait.
1 piece of 7% gear (107% experience). 1 piece of 7% training gear and 1 piece of 10% training gear. (110%) i.e. 10% gear wins and the rest is ignored.
If the strategy is highest trait wins or if it is added or multiplied but limited to a cap then this has implications on how to best use multiple pieces of gear with the same trait.
Does anyone know how it is calculated?
