Okay. I was experimenting a bit.
It seems that there is a better chance for Siphoning Attack to restore magicka and stamina if magicka is not full. And that is for Twin Blades attacks only. Rapid Strikes, for instance, did not trigger Mag&Sta restore even once.

Kozz I am pretty sure the tooltip for siphoning strikes says from basic attacks, which I think means light and heavy attacks only.

Kozz I am pretty sure the tooltip for siphoning strikes says from basic attacks, which I think means light and heavy attacks only.

Siphoning Attacks are morph from Siphoning Strikes. Tooltip says this:
"While toggled, basic weapon attacks restore 3% Magicka and Stamina, but Weapon and Spell Damage reduced by 25%. 10% chance all attacks to restore 15% Magicka and Stamina."

Basic attacks work just fine. But there is a problem with Dual Wield skills, especially Rapid Strikes. Those attacks should have chance to restore Sta&Mag too. I was playing for more than 30 min using just Rapid Strikes on mobs and did not restore St&Mag even once.

I noticed that I was running out of stamina and magicka more than usually in dungeon fights shortly after the patch.
This seems the be the cause of the problem.

Amazing. This update is riddled with bugs and ZOS decides not to fix any of them during the first available maintenance window. I am both flabbergasted and unsurprised, somehow.

I'm not, they knew it was full of bugs before they pushed it live.
We have let them know from past bad patches that even if it's a *** patch we will complain but carry on paying so they don't even need to try anymore.

    Another bug:

    - You cannot invite any character to a group by clicking their name in chat, if it has any special character (umlaut, accent, etc.). You need their @name to do a manual /invite @name.

Also, can't send "friend request" to someone who has a "special character" in their name. This includes umlauts, accents, etc.

Monday night, one of the only groups I've been in for approximately 2 months, and I couldn't send a friend request to my group leader. No umlauts, no special characters, just no friend request.....

They are working on a formal 1.4.4 patch and it obviously is not done for a Thursday maintenance. I would want them to test these things before they push them out, anyway.

Have comfort in the fact that Update 4 is much less riddled than Update 3 was.

I've been having serious issues with latency since update 4 hit. At first it was mostly just annoying, interacting with things and having to wait twice as long for a reaction, but now it seems to have gotten worse and is affecting my whole game play to the point that the game freezes shortly after I log in =( I've run diagnostics on my computer and checked to see if any other games/programs were running slow to try to make sure it was ESO and not my computer/connection, and yup, it's just ESO. I hope the latency gets fixed soon, because at this point it's essentially pointless to even bother trying to log in, much less play =(

They won't test things before they push out fixes though. God if they were actually implementing stuff on PTS first and running it by players AND their QA dept (well, assuming they hired one,) and making sure everything worked, I think we'd all be happy with that.

But they don't even listen to bug reports on PTS before things go live, so I doubt they would let us test fixes or use our input if they did.

My out of combat sneak speed as vamp with night silence armor is too low. It was working as intended before this patch. I also lost all my in game settings and since most in game settings are not global i will need to reset it for my main and 7 alts.

LOL, they changed this just because vamps with night silence armor were able to sneak at the speed of a galloping horse. Now only one sneak speed buff applies and you can't stack armour speed buff with vamp speed buff.
Because this was the most important thing they could have fixed. Honestly the one fix they actually manage to do correctly effects something I actually enjoyed.

They actually didnt do it correctly as it is not working for non vampires :P

Molten armament is not giving the crit hit %

Inferno skills crit morph does not work. While it is not supposed to show the crit hit chance on stats, its not actually giving the bonus after testing it for a couple of hours.

I did a "repair" and then reduced my graphics settings from "ultra" to " medium" and the lag spikes stopped. I've been gradually bringing the specs back up, and the spikes are returning. I also tried changing the particle fx settings, but these didn't seem to have any effect.

I did end up getting back on after posting earlier and tried adjusting the settings, which helped slightly. I haven't run a repair yet, though; quite frankly, every time there's a new update or large patch, I end up having to do a bloody repair, and am getting tired of having to so =( However, regardless of how tired I am of having to do it, if it's worked before, then hopefully it'll work (or at least help) again.

@everyone - Zenimax decided to close a forum that I started on this same topic. Apparently they want every thing related to this to be posted here. Being as this may be a more efficient way of learning about issues they created that is fine with me. Yeah, have it all in one place but you know what they took away my right and others rights to freedom of speech and expression when they did this. So because of this and because of the fact that Update 4 has basically made the game unplayable I am done. It is just a video game folks. Not something to fret about or base your whole life around. In less than 5 years from now ESO will probably be dead or if it is still around it will be free to play. As for me I am not going to be a source of Zenimax's bread and butter. The easiest way to solve all the problems with the game is to quit playing it and get rid of it. So with all that being said it is adios time for me.

Please feel free to send all your blue items and above to @Cuyler. Thanks in advance.

Well, the horrible lag spikes are back, even with my GTX 670 running on medium -- a card that runs EVERYTHING on ultra. I give up. I can't even run up stairs in town without glitching out every 10 seconds. And forget combat. It's just too much like real life...

I noticed that the new Aliens game is coming out, and F1 2014. Even Sniper Elite is looking tempting. I've gone as far as trying "that other game," but though I don't mind watching anime, I certainly don't want to play it. There's something to be said for player characters that look like, you know, adults.

ZOS, you're hurting me over here...

No, but neither are the grand announcements from a single individual about leaving and consequently singlehandedly bankrupting the ESO franchise.

While I understand the "bankrupting the ESO franchise" hyperbole, and I think you use it appropriately in this case, I actually think that quite a few of the 'So long, and thanks for all the fish' posts really do focus attention on common and severe issues.
And I also think that keeping those posts hidden tends to let the company off the hook regarding issues that they choose to foist off as 'isolated'.

If a lot of people are quitting over the same issues that are nontrivial, locking those issues in the attic with crazy Aunt Alice and not talking about them doesn't make them go away.

    Just my simpleminded opinion.

@twev, I'm not asking, nor expecting ZoS to not show these, nor am I downplaying any issue that causes someone to come to this decision.

I'm just a little tired of the expanded forecast of their effect that people feel the need to add.

A simple, "This is broken and this is why I'm departing" would suffice.

I'd love to see more accountability with items that need fixed, and various things they choose to tolerate in order to keep subs.

It should be about how things should work and what should be allowable behaviors vs "How much money does this cost us if we make it 'right.'"
I realize, as it's a business, that it's never that simple.

And that opens up a whole other thread.

I get the frustration on both sides. I truly do.

Few things I noticed after logging in that seem off.

The guild stores now display traits in alphanumeric order instead of the order they appear when researching. Any chance this can get changed back? Also, why am I seeing [eng] before everything in the guild store?

Running in 1st person mode seems to sway and bounce now. This is a bit too much realism for my liking. Playing for 15 minutes, I was getting motion sick running around Wayrest.

All of Wayrest bank's containers turned to empty as I tried to search them. Every single one.

With 1st person mode fixed, and Wayrest bank restored, the only thing left from my OP is that [eng] and ordering of the traits. But I'll take 2 out of 3 as a success.
