I think I got Locked?

So I've heard of this happening before but I was grinding mobs in Alkir desert and I noticed I couldn't speak to my group partner. Then I port back to repair and I can't buy anything from guild trader. Doesn't even give me the option? Was this a ban? How do I appeal it that's garbage I wasn't doing anything wrong unless grinding is a crime ha

Although grinding seems like an exploit, it's really become an integral part of the eso experience. When I first started, I refused to "grind" to vet 15, because I thought it was cheating. 7 characters later, I'm laughing at myself for thinking that. You're probably just having performance issues with the game.

ZOS' bot detected you picked up too many items/probably raw materials in some amount of time

submitt a ticket and you will be unbanned

That's the anti-botter program kicking in, from what I understand. If you're grinding too fast then it pops. No idea how long it takes to go away, I'd submit a ticket to try to get it resolved. You can do F1 for help and submit in game or you can go to your account on https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/ and send them an e-mail.

Grinding isn't really something you have to do in ESO. You can get to maximum champion points even without doing something tedious like that.

It's called a social ban. And, it's probably unintended. You need to file an in game ticket, explaining what you were doing, and get someone to take a look at your account.

It's designed to pick up bots, and effectively make it impossible to function as a gold seller (hence, why you can't interact with guild stores), but there seems to be some gray area where legitimate players have been reporting this recently.

Anti-bot? grinding too fast? That is new to me. I'm constantly going around harvesting and killing for XP and haven't yet run into a problem. How much is too much or too fast until this anti-bot supposedly kicks in? Wait.. I think a couple times I couldn't pick up something after killing a beastie. I just logged out and back in and it worked again. Was that anti-bot or just a glitch?

Anti-bot? grinding too fast? That is new to me. I'm constantly going around harvesting and killing for XP and haven't yet run into a problem. How much is too much or too fast until this anti-bot supposedly kicks in? Wait.. I think a couple times I couldn't pick up something after killing a beastie. I just logged out and back in and it worked again. Was that anti-bot or just a glitch?

That one's a glitch. You can get around it by dragging an unsuspecting new (hostile) buddy over, and slaughtering them next to the corpse. If they have a drop, and you have area loot on, you can grab both in one pass.

They are pulling your tail. They are trying to "Rick Roll" with statements like that.

Nah, the social bans are a thing. (For obvious reasons), nobody's quite sure what's tripping them lately, though. There've been a few threads on the subject with Z badges.

We’ve gone and changed the title from "I think I got Banned” to “I think I got Locked” for some clarification. Also for more clarification, please know grinding is not against our TOS. But if you are having issues after grinding please contact Customer Support.
